What's new

Southeast snow

I can see the Delta HQ from my window right now. Maybe I should head over and drop in to some break rooms at the HQ, terminals, and TOC, and see how they respond to my questions about what they think of their jobs and unions in general. I am sure I will be as well received as WT was when he did this.

be sure and use your DL ID and don't go any further than the type of clearance DL has given you.

did you read the article?
...DL managed to increase every traffic metric... more domestic AND int'l RPMS, more revenue per available seat mile, more boardings, higher LF.

Despite the cancellations, DL managed to GROW its traffic and get more revenue from each passenger on average that it carried.

BTW, it looks like today is Dallas' day in the wringer.

Must be nice to have a snow plow... No money in the budget to replace the pump on ours.

... But we did get new flat screens that'll run non stop corporate messaging (yes, really), new tables & chairs (that are already falling apart), and a whole host of other things no one asked for...

🙁

Kev wonder if delta teamed up w walmart (wally world) for the tables! Lol 🙂

you feel free to continue to try to draw connections between DL and Wal-Mart if it makes you feel better but the simple fact is that about the only real connection is that DL and Wal-Mart are both very profitable and continue to grow their businesses. If you object to those characteristics in a business, then you don't understand much of why companies exist.

specific to operational performance, DL once again led the largest airlines in OT with an 84% on-time number followed by US at 79%. All of the other carriers including AA and WN were considerably lower in the 50s or lower with B6 just above 60% based on flightstats data. AA led the industry with the number of cancellations in the aftermath of N. Texas weather.

But in all fairness Robbed, what company gift card did you get the past two years?

so you can't use the flat screen to shovel snow? and you really want to? hehehe

I'm not really sure what that means.

As for the ramp, it's not an issue of "want." It's an issue of having a work space that's safe to operate in/on/around.

Dunno, but these are truly awful, and not really suited to heavy use anyway.

Lol.

They quit giving those out for us (at least in some stations). We just Visa ones instead now...

You got me there Robbed, but you know what I mean....lol

Kev,
my comment was a joke regarding the utility of a flat screen vs the ability to shovel snow... and then a question of whether you really wanted to shovel snow.

I totally get that you want the right tools to do your job. I do.

I don't think DL's profit sharing proceeds will fit on a debit card... and most employees want to be able to move into investments, loans, and elsewhere. Cash in the bank is king.
