You guys ROCK!!!!

I LOVE YOU PITTSBURGH ALPA MEC REPS AND PHL...with all my heart and soul!

May all of management at CCY look up from your desks and take notice.

PitBull,

Looks like the "RC4" has become the "RC5" - they picked up the BOS Captain Rep.

Change is in the air.....

Phantom Fixer,

I can only guess. They voted to send the scope agreement out for membership vote. These are excerpts from their update letter after the "RC4" acted:

"We happen to believe a crucial battle lies ahead. While some may say, “now is the time to take a standâ€￾, we ask that cool heads and common sense prevail. Ask yourself, “What is the risk versus the reward?â€￾ Are you willing to risk your career over scope relief? This should not be construed by anyone as trivializing SJ Scope Relief. We fully understand the implications. But when we make our stand, our quiver should contain arrows. We have no leverage with the third parties, and thus our quiver is empty. To reiterate; if GECAS does not get the relief needed to reduce their risk, it is inevitable that we will lose airplanes and jobs throughout the system."

"However, the issue today is how to keep a revenue stream and the associated jobs at US Airways."

"On Tuesday, March 30, the company responded to the latest MEC proposal saying they “stand on their previous positionâ€￾ and that their response has not changed to any of the fourteen items requested. They also indicated their disappointment in the pilots not having a vote on these issues. As of the writing of this letter, the number of phone calls and e-mails from CLT pilots indicate an overwhelming number in favor of voting. That was also the opinion of seven members of your MEC, however as you know, we lost on the roll call vote of four members. Many of you have told us of your anger and frustration at having been denied this opportunity. The irony of this situation is that the very people who promised pilots a vote are the same people now preventing a vote. Although their intentions may be admirable to some, their actions only serve to move us from a timeline to a deadline. The difficult decisions faced by this MEC may pale in comparison to the decisions made by the previous MEC. What will pale in comparison to both, will be the decision(s) that you will face with your membership ratification vote(s)."

Just more union politics, at a time we cant afford it. No doubt the fall out will be huge in all unions, because the hardliners dont wanna give anything cuz "they already gave Dave" Reality dictates we will all give again . Pit has nothing to lose because its gonna lose anyway. Why not play games with peoples lives. Whats it called Russian Roulette?
