Current polls show that a majority of americans believe in marriage equality.... not that it matters.  We have a constitutional republic for a reason.

On Wednesday evening in Salt Lake City, Utah, delegates attending the General Convention of the Episcopal Church, the group’s conference held every 3 years, voted overwhelmingly to approve two resolutions that effectively codify theological support for same-sex marriage. The first (A054) formally approves gender-neutral and same-sex marriage ceremonies, while the second (A036) changes the current marriage “canons” to allow clergy to officiate same-sex marriages using either a marriage rite from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer or a “trial” liturgy.

The way things are set up the Democrats even ensured the Koch Brothers a return on investments made in the stock market while handing out subsidies to Streyer in the form of solar energy. Everybody gets a pay day except those of us who punch a clock. Heck, they have done such a good job even organized labor thinks they have a voice when in fact they're just another dupe of the Democrats mostly who work tirelessly to take their money

With the ruling, the cultural battle lines have been drawn. The fundamental concept of the right to live as you choose, free from an overbearing eyes, ears and hands of a tyrannical  government have been ignored.
 
With one group invoking the very name of no less than God has been thrown into the mix. It would be prudent that while we have a dominant Christian demographic we DO NOT have a state sanctioned religion. In fact our founders were against any such verbiage in even our Declaration of Independence much less our COTUS.
 
What our deeply devout brethren fail to grasp is that many off us who support the ruling also would balk at any government attempt to deny your beliefs.
 
For me why the government is even in the marriage business boggles my mind.
