I can understand that coming from someone who has no clue about the COTUS or the US legal system.  I am sorry for your feelings of inadequacy.  Nothing I can do about that.
 
Civics 101 says that Fed laws trump State laws.  The SCOTUS made a ruling. They only way around it is to amend the COTUS.  That is the way the US legal system works.  What is so hard to understand about that?
