Tariffs

You “assumed” VERY incorrectly that I believe everything President Trump says
Forgive me....I mistook twitter post after twitter post from Trump administration spokesmen (remember, in the Trump administration, if you say something the president doesn't like, you are out of a job) to mean that you support pretty much everything. You seem convinced that tariffs are a great thing.
Of course we have not had Trillions in Tariff revenues. We have however had Trillions in Business commitments from all around the World.
A commitment is worth the paper it's written on until the action is taken.

Argentina 🇦🇷 is a loan. We don’t have enough domestic Beef supply for prices to be lowered so we need Beef (Cows) from International Markets.
And nobod has ever defaulted on a multibillion dollar loan. If you wanted to borrow a million dolllars, I could easily write you a check. The trouble is, I don't have the money to cover it. And the US doesn't have the money to cover that loan. But if it were my check, it would bounce. The check that Trump wrote will just be passe on to future generations. That's bad business, and an example of how Trump took casinos into bankruptcy 3 times.

I have nothing wrong with a stimulus check being passed on to low income Taxpayers. I

Snap benefits are like a stimulus check for low income taxpayers. Medicaid is like a stimulus check for low income taxpayers. Section 8 housing is like a stimulus check for low income taxpayers. Yet....Republicans and Trump are cutting all of them while you cheer them on,.

Taking Maduro out will create stability throughout Latin America
What if the Venezuelans elect some socialist that is considered bad by the US? Or are you saying that the US should put in the guy they want and Venezuelans will rejoice?

I’m 100% convinced that Tariffs are a great thing. They level the playing field. Something you obviously aren’t understanding even after the Trillions in commitments to move manufacturing back to the US.

No you don’t build factories overnight. I really hate those looking for instant gratification.

Argentina is both a commitment in Latin American (Our Hemisphere) stability and long term business relationships. Far less spent on Ukraine who also offers us no guarantees of payback unless they renege and we let Russia go wild. Rare Earth minerals are not Casinos.

I cheer the waste, fraud, abuse and grift being cut off. I cheer and applaud 👏 those who are not here legally being absolutely and totally cut off to and for the benefit of Americans. I want “YOU” to thrive, not illegal Diego who gotta go.

If the Narco Terrorists don’t release their population then we go back in again until they get out of dodge. The Venezuelan “people” are starving. America 🇺🇸 showed what it can do to the entire World 🌎 in less than an hour. Only crazy people want to FAFO now. The Chess pieces are being wiped off the board and reset. A new game has begun.

BTW Ukraine was also better off before 2014 when they kicked out their Russia controlled puppet.

HOw do they level the playing field? Is it okay with you that Americans pay the tariffs because America levied a bigger tariff than the other country? You know, here's what gets lost int he tariff bullshit. My father worked for Sony Corporation. He was a vice president when he retired. We are Americans. The people who worked wtih him were Americans . Every time someone bought a Trinitron or Walkman, it put food on our table. He and the other Americans on the payroll paid taxes on their pay. It was a foreign business employing Americans. I thought that was a good thing. Is the goal to bring manufacturing back to the US to create US jobs? Here is a video of a Mazda production line. Mazda makes some of the highest quality cars in the world. Just look at how many jobs moving that production here would create. Trump has a 1950's view of manufacturing.

To answer your question for the one thousandth time. I’d rather just buy American when the products are made here and in competition with other Countries. I’m more than fine with Ronzoni and Barilla over Italian made durum wheat pasta.

Now I’ve given you enough of my attention for one day.

👋

Hmm 🤔

I bought 2 Ribeyes.

I'll explain my video. I posted it because this is how cars are built today. If the goal is to build factories and build cars here, odds are very good that they will equip these factories with robots. Did you notice how few humans were in that video? The only thing we will get from a car company building cars here is even HIGHER prices, since the steel and aluminum used is subject to a 50% tariff. It's actually cheaper for Japanese companies to build the cars there and import them as the tariff is lower.

The status quo is over. People like yourself need to learn to adapt. Yes AI and Robots will be doing a lot of work including the majority of the Manufacturing here in the USA as new technologies come online. What that really means for people 20, 30 and 40 years out is still a guessing game. But we aren’t going backwards any more than Cars will disappear and Horse and Buggies will make a grand reappearance.

The point of Tariffs on Steel is to stop all the dumping. That is already helping our steel industry as I’ve posted.

Look you interact as if you are some foreign agent trying to convince Americans that it’s ok to keep supporting all the other Nations of the World until we’ve been bled dry. Maybe you are? But I have wasted maybe too much time with you already since you totally ignore everything to continue the agenda. The agenda isn’t holding up any longer though. Americans are on to the scam.

And on another note. You’re other handle tried to frighten me off by posting a personal picture and then threatening my job and it or you continues to try to interact with me. Either you or it (Him/Her) can go F yourself. How dare you POS taking that picture and reposting it. Again I don’t know what either of you or you are but I don’t scare easily and I’d love to put my hands around your damn neck if you are that Dog profile. F’n piece of garbage.

In the old days we had Admins here that would have at least suspended someone for that. Today this place seems to have been abandoned.

I really don't eat much red meat. If I want a steak, I'll buy one.

You sound like you’d need to cash out some of your 401K to pay for it. I mean if you freaked out about a .50 cent egg, you definitely can’t afford Beef even if on sale.

December 4: What could happen if IEEPA tariffs are revoked?

The U.S. Supreme Court is currently evaluating the legality of President Trump’s decision to impose sweeping tariffs under the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA), and a ruling is expected in early 2026. If the Court declares the tariffs unlawful, the Trump administration could lose the authority to collect duties and might need to return revenues already received.

“We estimate IEEPA measures account for roughly 61% of the year-to-date increase in U.S. tariffs, or about $180 bn on an annualized basis as of October. However, we do not expect a decision revoking IEEPA tariffs to have a material impact on where the level of the effective tariff rate settles,” said Nora Szentivanyi, senior global economist at J.P. Morgan.

Should the tariffs be revoked, several alternative legal pathways remain available, and efforts to implement them could generate short-term volatility, The administration could, for example, invoke Section 122 to maintain 15% tariffs for 150 days, using that period of time to work out more lasting alternatives.

“Replacing IEEPA tariffs with a blanket 15% rate could lead to a modest short-term reduction in the effective rate, but much will depend on whether current trade agreements and sectoral exemptions are upheld,” Szentivanyi added. “In addition, the impact would be felt differently across U.S. trading partners. For countries hit with the largest IEEPA tariff hikes (e.g., India, Brazil, China, Indonesia), revoking IEEPA would bring short-term relief and could even prompt a renewed round of front-loading before other tariffs are put in place. For Mexico and Canada, impacts should be limited, provided USCMA exemptions survive a new tariff regime replacing IEEPA.”

You haven’t read me panic over the price of my breakfast rising from $2.00 to $3.00 like you did buddy.

Your responses here certainly don’t make it sound like you’re comfortable.

Where have I panicked? I merely made some observations that others have noticed that prices are still going up. . I wish I had more time, but I have a life, but I would LOVE to have seen your twitter flood from 2021 and 2022.
