That's what they are telling the AMT's at AA.

Any comment on the validity of their assertion?

Teamster BS.

They claim they saved the SFO base when in fact the company never found a buyer. Furthermore, language contained in our CBA prevented any such sale without union consent. Here is an article by the AMFA Local President at the time that covers it for the most part.

As for those they claim to have brought back, they fail to mention the layoff of aprox 700+ mechanics in the ibts first year on the property at UAL.

As for their claims of what they got back, we still don't have the pension they promised. We still don't have full sick pay. They traded language in our old CBA to try and match us with CALs inferior language, and pat themselves on the back because we got a raise out of it.

Its the standard teamsters propaganda

1AA are you a UAL M/C ? If you are and had a choice would you rather pay dues to the IBT,AMFA,TWU or IAM ?

Typical teamster propaganda. Ask them where all their promises are that they promised the UAL guys if they would vote them in at UAL.

swamt . When it comes to the IBT / AMFA all of our Brothers and Sisters at AMR Group need to is FOLLOW THE MONEY like the IRS does. Who would you rather pay dues to IBT,AMFA,TWU, or IAM ?

The union I currently pay dues to. It is the only true democratic and transparent union out there.

Do I really have to answer your question? Read my registered name and hopefully you can figure out who I turn wrenches for.

It's obvious who I want to have represent me.

I'll give you a hint.

It is not the TWU,IAM and sure as hell not the Teamsters.

It's great for US/AA mechanics to vote in AMFA for the high wages but what good is it if they don't have a job for you when everything is said and done. The reason Southwest mechanics make more than the other mechanics is because they don't have as many mechanics so its easy for the company to pay. I would rather make less and have job security than not make anything at all.

You obviously do not work for AA. AA will always pay low wages as long as we have industrial back door deal making unions that have international officers that are appointed instead of being elected by the members. Who said with AMFA we will get High wages? We are looking for better representation to enforce our contract and improve work rules and benefits without the company bribing the union in exchange for A5 lifetime passes and complimetary admirals club membership. Im sure other bribes have been made but it is only speculation on my part. The IBT, TWU and the IAM are all the same. The one thing for sure is that the Teamsters are the worse. How are things progressing at UAL and CAL with the merger? Almost three years and the Teamsters have yet to close the door on the merger. How do you or anyone else expect the Teamsters to handle the merger at AA? If we use UAL as an example we are in for a world of HELL.

Nobody has ever promised the AA and US guys an industry leading pay or contract if they were to vote AMFA in. However, the teamsters have, and it's on video. What you will get with AMFA is much, much better representation for the class and craft of the mechanics period. We enjoy the best job security in the industry with SWA, we also enjoy the best contract with AMFA. Not really seeing where your example of using SWA in your post, is even logical...

Yup Teamsters are turning it around.

1AA Now that WE know you are a AMR Group M/R MC, support AMFA , figured out the IBT and won't support IAM/TWU. I have one last piece of advice and take it for what its worth coming from a 35yr. Ramper. Ask the majority of M/R Workers at UAL how AMFA worked out for them. Good Luck ! Contracts Now ! Contracts for ALL ! SOLIDARITY !
