I am curios what those who where at work for US on Thanksgiving Day thought of this years Dinner gift from management and how much it varied from place to place? Until the folks from PHX took the helm this was a new experiance for most of us on the East side, although many stations had their own dinners that where employee provided in the past. In LGA as promised we where served by Managers and although the presentation in plastic containers was efficent but not visually pleasing the food was actualy quite good and plentiful. We where served Turkey, stuffing, yams, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll, and apple pie. I am sure some will laugh at me but I thought it was quite good and very filling. Also the quanity was plentiful, they did not seem to have to make sure everyone only took one, plenty for everyone, not stingy. I understand in PHL they had a buffet catered by Boston Market again served by Management but with a Boston Market rep actually carving the Turkeys as employees came to eat. This employee really appreciated what was done and although I had a great meal when I got home this was a welcome change from so many years past. Again coments and what was done in your city would be appreciated ?

Well, it's great you got to work on Thanksgiving (sorry, coming from a single, low-paid employee).. I actually wanted to come to work on Thursday. I had a TV dinner at home, bah. That was my Thanksgiving day.

You should have put on the uniform and came in for turkey. It was very good. Boston Market.

PHX ramp had catering from Boston Market. Bigger servings than we had in the past. Quite good and filling. Union reps were trying to get people not to eat the food but the smell of turkey and stuffing were too much too resist for empty stomachs.
 are you serious?

At ILM we had a "Southern Thanksgiving Dinner" which consisted of fried chicken, pork barbecue, cole slaw, potato salad, hushpuppies, numerous pies, sweet tea and soft drinks. It was very plentiful and leftovers lasted for two days.

Typical Union Rep. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!!!"

The union could have ponied up a few bucks and served their members, instead of whining.

PHX InFlight had turkey with all the trimmings from Boston Market available all day. There were many crews checking in and the food was very good. We had a PIT crew join us as well. The atmosphere was great. Then, upon boarding our long haul flight, LSG provided the FAs with *gasp* thanksgiving crew meals. 😀

Oh yes, we got crew meals that needed heated but were on the 73 with no ovens. Of course the three times i was in PHX on Turkey day, they were, surprising out of everything.....whatever....another poor ass attempt to show that I am valued....

I see it all set up in the "A" crewroom, but I had an early departure and when I returned I was in no mood to hike down to eat. =)

When I returned home the boy's brought me leftovers from the family dinner and it was great. =)

It was nice to see the company provide a meal for those working.

Maybe I missed it but I wish the company would let us know where they are planning the holiday meals. I was in PHX last Christmas day and we tried to find out where the food was, but no West crew would help us (we asked three different crews).

I hope the East crews are more friendly.

PHL went all out!!! It was GREAT!!! real carved turkey, mashed, corn, pie soda's they had to-go plates for the crew's everyone in the airport was welcome...it was one time I saw everyone in PHL really bonding...from ramp to cleaners to maint and agents...all were smiling and having a good time...the chief pilot was there smiling dishing out food...thanks to the PHL people that put this together...It was a nice meal and I did not have to cook for once...hope they do it next year

PHL the cleaning is outsourced, they are not US Airways Employees.

I am just clarifying what PHL Bull posted

it was one time I saw everyone in PHL really bonding...from ramp to cleaners to maint and agents...

Now try something else to find fault with on what I posted.
