What's new

THE BLACK LIST

Just talked to an agent in CMH and the station manager was axed. The agent said that his duties are now being handled by a manager at another station. That manager now has four or five stations to manage. It was inevitable with the merger. Just look on PARS to see what is happening. Where there used to be 12 or 15 flights by nwa, its down to half that with Delta picking up the other half. It translates in to fewer seats. Just what all the airlines are doing, reducing capacity to tighten up the flights and increase the numbers of passengers on any flight. Bad news for us non-rev retirees.

If I remember correctly, the CMH manager wasn't exactly a "people person."

But your point is valid; with all of the overlap, a lot of people are going to be gone...

P.S. It's good to see you on here. Hope all is good!

Its funny because the Base Manager in BOS for DL either just stepped down or is stepping down and is starting an anti-union campaign.

Does it really take Einstein to see what the company is really doing here?
When you say Base Manager are you refering to inflight ? We've had a couple of town meetings with the BOS Station Manager of DL ramp and I don't think your refering to the same guy. As for the anti-union campaign. Nothing surprising there

Thanks Kev, I keep checking in from time to time. Can't seem to keep my mouth shut. Things are going well actually. Post nwa life is treating me good.

I think the station manager you were referring to was a couple of years before this fellow. Now THAT guy was a real piece of work. If I remember correctly HE was in MEM prior to CMH but fell into an altercation with Bad Bob. Funny story when Bad Bob tells it.
I knew the most recent manager and he was a nice guy. In a tight spot for the schedule and reduced manpower but he was doing the best he could with what he had.
