Folks...
Looks as if labor may indeed be the death of US Airways?
I say reduce capacity. Just think less people, less planes, less bags. Everyone gets there on time, with their bags and just maybe
they can get a free Coke, too

How is this labor's fault you ask? Well, I didn't say it was anyones fault. . . did you read the article? I was basing my statement soley on the article and I quote:How is this labor's fault? I'm the lowest paid major airline pilot in the nation. At the end of the day the labor issues are managements fault. They decided to handle things they way they did.
Last year that $198 fare was $98 RT. Still its a bargain. What does AMTRAK charge for PHL-FLA fares? And you can not even check baggage in on AMTRAK in the Northeast.I have said this before and will again that I'm perfectly fine with a fee for beverages and bags. What I DO believe though is there should be a fare cutoff point where if you pay over a certain price your drink is included along with the bag fee waved. That would keep our higher fare traveler and FF's from the nickel and dime experience. Oh my two cousins just bought tickets from PA to Tampa for 198.00 on US. You CANNOT DRIVE for that. It's crazy. I don't fault US on their own for this because until ALL airlines decide to NOT go back on fare increases this will happen.
KL CityHopper gives me a drink AND a tasty little sandwich in coach, and needles to say, they don't charge me.Well I know that SpanAir (JK) charges for drinks in coach class. I am not sure what other EU airlines do on their domestic flights.
