I've seen the FWD galley on the West A/C and your right there is a big difference, one difference is that on the East AB we have all the snack items for the basket in the drawers and 1 oven, they have 2 ovens and the snack items wherever they will fit, also the West at least has a curtain for the front galley so they can at least try to prepare the meals or whatever in some privacy. I finally worked A on the 321 and although I had to spend an hour redoing the galley, there actually would've been a "little" room for glassware on the ice cart. If they really wanted to put glassware on the planes they could find space (or make space for that matter). I've seen how they recycle on the West and I like it alot, it saves space and there is so much more room for trash (excuse me refuse), it's no big deal really and you just put empty drawers on top of the refuse cart for the cans when you're picking up and I was told that they (the union) gets the money from the recycling and gives it to f/a's in need. And WCT as for the way the service flow is on the West for meal flights, I find it a bit odd that the beverage is offered then clear-in and then go through with the meal and only offer water/coffee with it. Don't people drink their beverage by the time the meal is offered? I like the push/pull then offer coffee/tea alot better. Also on express bev. flights it's not really express if full bev is being offered!!! and as for pulling out those heavy carts in those bumpy mountains and in the desert, i would think that would increase the injuries to flight attendants. It's a short flight and these people don't need the world.Once and for all would someone PLEASE take a full color picture with a camera or your cell phone of the fwd galley on the 319/320 west AND east. I ran up to the plane at gate B6 in philly for cups and it was a west a/c. The fwd galley is COMPLETELY different. I do mean COMPLETELY. When you see the difference and SPACE difference between the two you'll see why the east "cried" so much about the butcher job they in fact did.
Why don't they just had out the empty cans so people can spit in them??I thought maybe west F/As were leafing through the trash for cans while they enjoy some Copenhagen tobacco.
Maybe he's remodeling his kitchen? If the place is such a freaking palace why dump 100K plus in stock?
First, we all know they are liars and the state of the airline sucks. Second, maybe she needed some new shoes and handbags? Which reminds me...I was on an HP flight last year and in HP style Row 1 is up close and personal with the A and he told me he liked my shoes. I don't think he chewed tabacky so maybe he was an Eastie that had to go West...I mean, he did have good taste. How do you know it's a "He"??
Back to the title of the thread. US can't be the Mc Donalds of the sky because McDonalds unlike US AIrways delivers on it's promise of a reasonable meal, very quickly at a low price. Does US Airways deliver on ANY of its marketing message?
Yeah I thought the same thing at first about the recycling thing then when I saw it then started doing it myself I kind of liked it and liked that I didn't have to shove the trash in "that special compartment" upon landing. Anyway what's with this tobacco thing and the West?? I know a few people out West and I don't recall them using chewing tobacco. I've read a couple threads on here and people keep referencing this.So that's what the recycling is. I pretty much do that any way. You have to do it on the rinky dink 757s to Europe, and I do it on the Airbuses too. On the 321 you run out of trash space otherwise.

Let me know how it is. I just got off of a AA PHL-DFW dinner flight. Hot towels, glassware, warm nuts, linens, choice of pasta or chicken, salad, bread basket brought out several times, good wine and then ice cream sundaes. Oh, and mints at landing.
I told the A that I was in shock over the service and he said, oh. I know, we've cutback so much. I said, well, maybe but US is way behind you and he said what, do they use plastic cups and when I said yes he said, omg I was kidding.
Yeah really!why are so many hung up on glassware? it's more of a pain in the arse to deal with and cost more money to clean and stock...
