But yea, it's weird. I know him and many of the others who have moved on and I wish them all the best of luck. This industry has pretty much just shiit on it's workforce hoping that a much less qualified, less experienced and lower cost workforce can maintain the status quo. What they are doing is gambling. The aviation industry has basked in an unprecedented record of safety over the past decade. But all of the standards are now being augmented with the hope that the statistics won't change.
They're gambling with people's lives, cutting costs at all cost - except when it comes to executive compensation.
In my opinion it's criminal. I'm still here - but only as a carbuncle on their ass. I'm licensed and will damn sure ground any and every unairworthy aircraft that should happen to pass my way
for the safety of the public for which I am charged
