PitBull et al,
It is always nice to hear folks like you rant on and on about how much you hate NYC and its charm. It would be very heartening to New Yorkers if you would then stay the hell away, but your dirty little secret is that you all still come in droves, act like clueless jerks and basically get in everybody's way. New Yorkers are very nice people; they just don't suffer fools gladly.
And, the last time I was REQUIRED to spend the night at the Hilton in Pittsburgh, I found that NYC does not have a monopoly on homeless and stink. The 'burgh holds its own in that respect. But, it is better than Iowa City, I imagine.
LOL... yea NYC is such a hot spot that the city didn't even rank top 50 on Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine (correct me if i'm wrong) ...but, I know, folks only want to visit. The only reason I fly into NYC is to visit my sister. And when I'm there, I try to talk her into selling her apartment and get out of the stink hole.
Otherwise, someone would have to remind me its even on the map.
