buck, A little info for you. I did indeed vote for the concessions! And to date, it has been the right choice as to the "survival" of the TWU membership....!!! Do you have a problem with that???? Can you offer any "sane alternative" to why we should have rejected the concessions? Just take a look at those that are misrepresented by the amfa

Do you even know to what extent your concessions were when you voted or did you vote out of fear and it wouldn't have mattered if the concessions had been twice as much? Something tells me you and alot of other gizmos have no self worth! This latest scheme of 500 million is nothing more than a guise for more concessions. It started out as 500 million in third party work but has now been transformed into 500 million in third party work and cost savings combined. Productivity improvements and layoffs should have been our first round of defense but the twu/aa relationship wouldn't allow for such an approach. We now have a gutted contract and the next step is productivity improvements and the partial closing of a maintenance base! The twu owes aa big time for padding the list of eligible people other wise we would have had a vote and the twu would be 16,000 dues payers less so its no wonder there is alot of as$ kissing going on between burchette and (one window).

amfaman, I see that you have not changed course now that you have a couple cheerleaders to support you. The vote will not come amfaman! It is really over... It is now time to face our difficulties as Union members. Enough of the back-biting, I'm tired of it! I had told myself that I would stop at 300 but I guess one or two over won't hurt.......Bye/Bye amfaman 😛 😛 😛

hss, you are the one who has not changed. Posting lies from behind your alias still. Who says there will not be a vote? Is there another list of dead people the company/twu has to include in our craft & class?

The only thing that is over is the twu's future representing AMTs at AA. There are no "union members" in the twu. That was prooven in court. The members do not control the contract. The international does.

What difficulties do you point to? The fact the twu is not democratic or held accountable for their actions?

What back biting? AMFA supporters post the cold hard truth about the twu and the other industrial airline unions representing AMTs and you and the other alias hiding twu stools can't handle the truth. Oh, that's right. You try to make it seem as if AMFA represented AMTs are worse off than twu represented AMTs. But you always seem to fail to mention the twu drives at the EIGHT airlines AMFA was elected in at. Why is that hss?

The twu... an organization where ignorance is bliss.

Hi Buck,
Yeah I'm familiar w/agency fee status. I've just gone this route because it seems easier, plus I get to receive a "15 day letter" from the international once a year!!! 😀

I am on hand pay and Agency Fee status.

Well it seems that HSS has abandoned the thread. He throws out a few typical rhetorical union quotes however when faced with what the TWU does in practice he avoids addressing it.

So tell us HSS how does the TWU promote Solidarity?

Does splitting the membership up between over twenty Locals and giving all the real decision power to the International promote unity?

Isnt it a fact that the squabbling between Locals and the competition for the prized six figure International positions ensures that the membership remains divided and therefore unable to get elected officials in a position where they can challenge the International like Local 100, or even 556?

Isnt it your position that Unity and Solidarity means that everyone else in the system should automatically support whatever Tulsa decides is the way to go?

The fact is that I dont believe that you even know what the word means. Its simply a programmed respose.
