What's new

TWU Screw is about to be implemented

I don't see where its stated as FACTS. Could you please point that out as you continue to play the part of a STOOGE spinning a non official 2013 business forecast. Not trying to say myself that some of the content especially the 2012 part of it may come true but it is still subject to change. Keep your panties on Informer...

Not trying to come between you and Informer, but this is how AA is running their business plan? We reserve the right to put this on a piece of paper and throw it out there but don't hold us to it........... With them labeling part of it as "AFW SUNSET PLAN" it only shows the mentality of the management team we are working with. I am no longer holding out any hope that there will be a good ending in this situation, not anywhere, AFW, DWH, TUL.

Labeling that as "AFW SUNSET PLAN" says a lot of things that so far have been unspoken.........

Don't read too much into that - the title is just more PC than a simple "shutdown".

You know - cowboys riding off into the sunset, sunset in the west, end of an era - all sound better than being "bent over a barrel" or something similar.

Don't forget the fuzzy bunnies and unicorns ...

I know where you found the report the same place I read it yesterday at 514. It is informative but still yet not official, I just don't give it as much weight as you are wanting it to provide. But if you wanna spin it have fun... 🙄

So according to you the info posted on the UNION website is not official. So why post things that are not official? Just like our contract, nothing is official until the COMPANY fills in the blanks. Can not trust info coming from the union and the company changes course when ever they see fit. This is the collateral damage from voting YES.

Yet they claimed to have "official" headcount numbers to claim a number of jobs saved in Tulsa to peddle the crap,
Now the numbers are not "official" and it appears there never were any.

Just like there still is not a signed and "certified" vote count on the T/A.

I passed it on to our board as what it is, their "plan" subject to change. At least before the latest concessions they could only cut to 1998 seniority, now they can cut as deep as they choose.

Both UAL and USAIR have system protection from DOS of their latest agreements, we have none, just like Jet Blue and Delta.

As far as I know we are the only mechanics who pay dues but do not have any system protection clause in our "contract".

I agree, voting YES will continue to be the most damaging thing we have ever done to our careers and profession.

Yep - 108 votes tossed, passed by 48 - "they" say.

The company is planning on 800 Early Out, but understands the possibility of 1200-1500 system wide. The 737 management team has to bid for their work to the airline and must plan on these reductions. 737 group is on it's way to become a competitor of the MRO's in the industry.

I dont know where that came from, I've only seen it here on this Blog.

It likely comes from not providing "signed certified" results from Ballot Point

If the TWU wants to keep the facts away from the members, then the rumors will become the fact.

Facts are facts, you mean "accepted as fact".

Well with the discounted line maintenance subsidy factored in they sure can compete as far as labor costs. At least on the books if not in operational performance.

If Bob is stating rumors may be accepted as facts even though they may not be, I agree with him. I would think Bob has a copy of the certified results by now.

Yes labor costs. The company factors their total "all in" labor rate, Which is not what the mechanic gets paid. This is what they negotiate from. I have seen some numbers but will not divulge those here. But when negotiating, this figure is used which includes all overhead, which includes outside factors.
