I'll gladly take that $10 an hour raise, better medical, holidays, ot, etc.etc.etc.The TWU will stall the company until the AMFA negotiations are through at Southwest Airlines and then tell the company...

SWA spends more than AMR in the selection prior to hiring employees and does not hesitate to terminate prior to completion of "trial" periods.
SWA ranks the corporate hierarchy as: 1) Employees; 2) Shareholders; 3)Customers.
AMR brings in the best breathing bodies they can get for what they are willing to pay.
AMR ranks the corporate hiearchy as: 1)Mangement; 2)Shareholders; 3) Customers; 4) Employees.
The result is that AMR cannot pay what SWA pays because they don't have the horses to run the same race.
The TWU will never ask for anything close to SWA and the membership will buy into it because: "We'll Get'em Next Time."
