Ua Pilot Furloughs?

I know a couple ex-military friends who work for UA. They were hired in the late 90's. I've been hearing alot about UA furloughing pilots. Has the bleeding of pilots stopped? If not, any rumors when things will settle down? I hope my friends don't lose their jobs. They both served in Gulf War I and earned their positions.

Furloughs are now through November of '98. The rumour is they will go through the end of the year or till around the end of Feb. It all depends on which flight office you want to believe (ORD or IAD).
