Based on what I've read on the USAirways board, I'd start burning candles and sacrificing small animals at midnight to keep that from happening...

I totally agree - however I think that UAL has its eyes on DAL for the simple fact that it just spent tie in BK and has the 2 key points we don't -- JFK and ATL --- similar to CAL - only - most of the groups are not unionized which would cause a very interesting effect.

I do not ask this with any level of disrespect or attitude, but what seems to be the problem with UAL? If they are catering to the biz traveler...many who have left US for UAL, why aren't you making millions? I know we are pure ghetto at US, but at least we are making money. Can someone explain the biz model, time frames to make money, etc.?

Buy all the UAUA stock you can because Uncles Glenn & Jake are most certainly going to sell the whole thing.

Whoever meets their price (not necessarily the best price for the company, rather just enough for their stock options to activate) will be the lucky buyer.

NHBB - how many quarters did AA not make profits ??? several years worth - where they should have filed bk - but instead suckered the employees out of their pay to not file.. your bad i guess.. UAL does need to show profits but i hardly think 2 quarters is the demise of UAL - however the folks at AA would be tickled pink -- I would be worried about AA more than anyone b/c not too many people want to be there dance partner after what happened the last time..
