Busdriver has long since proven that he has a strange hatred for F/As.

Must be an absolute joy to fly with.

Besides, after my crew and I work up our sweat from busting ass in the aisle while he sits on his fat ass the entire flight, I'd probably be reading and studying a text book towards creating a new reality that doesn't include the lame airline industry. Health care is where I'm going, so I can offer something of a bit more substance to people who are a bit more in need. The older I get, the more I want to make a meaningful (for me) contribution. That's why I'm all over it when a LOL (little old lady) is on board...and there are a few, and the rest of the passengers like that kind of thing too. It shows we care. I imagine all he cares about is his relationship with his broker.

There are noble professions out there that really appreciate the care giving we give but it ain't United Airlines. I learned that 21 years ago, and there's been no change

THere's a great song that Dan Fogleburg used to sing, called "There's a place in the world for a gambler...There's a burden that only he can bear. There's a place in the world for a gambler, Let him shine, shine, shine....

That's a piece of my philosophy of life, but he does piss me off with his mysogonistic, egomaniacal rants...I guess there's a place for him behind the closed cockpit door.

A perfect example of what's inherently wrong with this company--stereotyping. Everyone has their function to perform that's as equally important as another's. Unfortunately, 'the little people' only see it from their own standpoint. We're only as strong as the weakest link in the chain--it's a fact of life. Call me a crazy idealist for suggesting that we're all on the same page--but we are, like it or not.

Spacewaitress, you're probably one of the most bitter, jealous people on this forum in my opinion. I am very glad to hear that you are actually studying a textbook and chosing a more "noble" profession. Good luck with that. When will you be leaving United Airlines?

When will you be leaving United Airlines?

Not soon enough

I just feel sorry for her patients. 'Sorry no pain meds for you, I'm reading my textbook'. I'd think someone who has an interest in "medicine" to have a rudimentary undertanding of the effects of dehydration and how quickly it can happen. And no, I don't 'hate' F/A's, I love the professionals who actually take their job seriously. What I dislike is idiots. Space is one of those F/A's who mad she didn't go to TK for a couple extra weeks so she could have been a pilot instead 🙄 .

How did this turn into an attack on Bus? I've never felt that he hated F/A's........where did that come from? I still love you Bus!!

Now gve that boy a bottle!

Back to the thread...

Who cares if water isn't stocked? Either ask for it or buy some yourself. Most of us out in the world have to bring our own water to work and it is really a trivial cost. My water priveledges were taken away years ago and it only affected me for about 2 minutes. Then I realized that I served much more of a purpose than that and how much does it really matter if I have to bring my own in??? Nitpicking on every little item during a time when the company truly needs you (and vice versa) is so counter-productive it is nauseating.

Learn which battles to choose...this is definitely a ridiculous battle to have wasted so much time on. We're almost to page three on a thread about WATER. If people are this easily disincentivized, there is a huge sensitivity issue that is far bigger than any economic force that is currently nawing at the legacy carriers.

Oh please...All this because of one bloated sense of self-importance over an incredibly petty issue. Grow up you guys!
