Like 777 said, there is no vacation for a sitting president in these times. There are only differing locations from which he does his 24/7/365 job...no matter what party he happens to be elected from.

Edit: I forgot to yell Benghazi. After all, that is what caused the whole Ukraine problem. Just ask Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, and any other shiny object republicans.

Do you want to hear my opinion,or are you just trying to put words in my mouth?----- First you don't have to send in the troops. Tell Putin to pull his troops or we take a new road. I think the idea of hitting them in the pocket book is the best approach. First don't threaten him with not showing up for the Big Eight meeting in Sochi!---- Kick him out! Second, authorize the development, and  implementation, of of a Missile Defense System. Third threaten to put them back into Turkey and other NATO countries. Fourth, O.K. the Keystone Pipeline. Fifth, open up Federal Lands to more drilling. Sixth, O.K. the construction of  more natural gas liquidation plants. Seventh, pull out the stops on drilling, and exporting, of natural gas to Europe! The gas is going to be used anyway. We might as well be the ones selling it to them instead of the Russians! ------- So what's Obama's response? He threatens not to show at the big eight meeting, and goes off on vacation to play more golf! ----- Yah! that will do it! So what will he do if China sees Putin getting away with it and decides to take those islands away from Japan. Hell, the Japanese just may shoot back! Then what? And let's not forget about north Korea, and Iran! What happens if we find out that they already have a bomb? What happens if Israel decides to go it alone just before the mid trim, or 2016, elections? ------ I know what Hillery would say! " What difference would it make?"

Biden is the VP so he really has no power or say in the matter.  As for Obama like I said before no president is ever really on vacation.  Just like Bush was not really on vacation down in Texas when the Russian's rolled into Georgia.

What difference will building the Keystone pipeline make?  The USA only get around five percent of it's imported oil from Russia.  The problem with exporting natural gas to Europe is the expense.
