The big question is, does the IAM have this as an issue and a working item within the union? If you have not started the planning it might be too late. ALPA gave the most in the cuts and I would be speculative to say they will NOT get back the majority of the cuts in a merger scenario. Just my opinion but a merger does not need union approval.

I've gotten the magic 8 ball out of retirement and it seems to suggest that instead of a significant salary restoration that the pilots would receive an equity stake in the airline and a seat on the board, like what the NWA/DAL pilots have demanded.

But that's just the magic 8 ball.
