It's 4:00 PM on Christmas Eve, and I just heard on NBC 10 in Philadelphia, that US Airways will cancel 100 ADDITIONAL Flights this Evening...some Pax have been stranded for over 24-36 hours depending on their destination.

But that's not all...Pax were standing there, mouths agape, taking pictures of the biggest, most nightmarish Mountain of Luggage I have ever seen. It was truly an astonishing sight. This CANNOT be good.

This place is doomed.

Al Crellin needs to be fired immediatly.

This is nothing new. It has happened every year for the last 15 I have been here.

I have to disagree...sure Cancellations on Holiday Weekends are normal, but 100 ADDITIONAL Flights canceled on top of what has ALREADY canceled?? And that's just Christmas Eve! Seems a bit excessive to me...Reporters are citing the reason as "lack of crews"...NOT Weather, which is largely the source of cancellations at Other Airlines where Weather is playing a Major Factor in their Hubs and Focus Cities. The same can't be said for PHL, CLT, DCA, BOS, LGA or PIT until right about now.

See for yourself, if anyone is Home and near their Television in the Philly area...turn on NBC 10, and tell me that "Luggage Explosion" stretching a great length of the Ticket Counters while astonished Passengers take PHOTOGRAPHS of it is normal... 😱

WTAE here in PIT just reported about the luggage problem. Every customer they talked with connected through PHL.

Boy are they slamming US on TV!

Dear Flight Attendant,

Due to the current challenging climate in the aviation industry and the company's continued transformation, we are furloughing you. We are healthily staffed for the handful of mainline aircraft we still fly. Please return your wings and emergency manual on the effective date.

THANKS AFA. All flights cancelled was because of a LACK OF G.D. FLIGHT ATTENDENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANKS IAM FLEET/PHL....

AND ABOVE ALL...Thanks Crystal Palace/DCA for the bumbling knotheads that run this sorry excuse of an airline Keepon telling yourselves and potential investors manpower is not a problem (especially PHL). 3hour delays due to loading during the am bank.

See everyone in the unemployment line later in January.

TICK-TOC The clock is running hard now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the employees don't need to institute self-help. Lakefield and his wiz-kid execs are already well into their own CHAOS action. I guess they've stepped up their campaign to wreck the airline unless employee relent and work for peanuts.

Let's see. Hundreds of F/A's and Fleet Service call in sick and that's managements fault? Get a grip.

I'm with you....if you called in sick today that was your choice.

If you are still working for USAirways it is because you CHOOSE to. No one is making you.

Please accept responsibility for your actions and stop pointing the finger to everybody else.

Do I like what's happening with the company? Do I like that I was given a 24% paycut? Heck, no. But as long as I choose to work here it is still my job and I am expected to perform.

End of story. Period.

Grow up people and act like mature adults and not whiney little brats.

Crellin may need to go, but for other reasons than this. Everyone who called in sick without documentation for today shold be terminated for cause immediately.

Yeap they were probably right, luiqidation after the first of the year. Imagine the losses that US is pilling up right now WHEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW  Didn't even come to a strike, CHAOS in the making

Does the contract require "documentation" for calling in sick?

After years and years of management buffoonery, point-of-a-proverbial-gun concessions, and senior management looting of the company, what did Lakefield THINK was going to happen? I'm sure he's "shocked."

Back to your own pond little fish. Don't need your brand of tuna around here.

Plenty of fishy preadators and we don't need another.

This country is finally getting the airline industry it deserves.   🙁 Sad but true!
