IF I got stapled to the bottom of AA and made 50 plus bucks an hour, shared reserve with the ole TWA folks, and got a pension, heck yea! Bring it on! DFW never looked so good?!![]()
The TWA folk form only a small percentage of the AA flight attendants serving reserve.
There are "nAAtives" with over 20 years serving reserve in some bases (think DFW). The difference is that at AA NOBODY, former TWA f/as included, serves reserve more than 3 months in a 12 month period. Personally, I won't live long enough to get totally free of reserve, but I knew that going in to the job.The only reserve system that might be better is DL where everyone (except the very most senior) serves a few days reserve every month. And, I'm not sure that is better. On my line ( aka blockholder) months, I know I can trade around for any arrangement of trips I want that does not create an illegality. Reserve days mixed in the month would hamper that ability.
