So.....

There I wuz, just cruizin' the internet. When what should I discover? The June 2005 Pilot SL.

Very interesting reading. I mean I found and old friend (Furloughed), 320 (not really THAT junior). Couldn't find "Hot Lips" though.

Couple of questions:

1. The most junior Captain that I could find had a "hire date" of....oh, let's say 1973. Yet he was co-mingled with fellow employee's with a hire date of.....oh, let's say 1986. Is this person an ex-Piedmont or PSA pilot?

2. I can understand what "Sick Leave/Disability", "Retired", "Military Leave", or "Supervisory Pilot" mean. But what in the heck does "Frozen Except To" mean?

3. Holey Moley!! USAIR sure hired lot in 1999.

So...on to the merger.

The 1973 Hire date was a former Trump Shuttle pilot. USAir acquired the Shuttle under the Schofield Administration.

They were slotted into the USAir Seniority Roster. They did not get their original Eastern DOH except for non-rev travel purposes.

Those are the pilots that have a training freeze.....

What's the DOH of the most senior 757 captain? Or is that on a need to know only basis? Of course, it might just be personal data, not appropriate for the internet. So, vaguely, what's the year of hire for a seniorish 57 C/O.

Row,

Let's put it this way.....

The junior active pilot (not counting the Emb-170 folks) was hired in 1988.

The junior captain (ditto) was hired in 1985.

The junior 757/767/330 captain was hired in 1984.

Or to put it another way, USAirways has pilots that were hired in the '60's and America West has pilots that have heard of the '60's.

Can you say, "Came over on the Mayflower....." but that goes for most locations and positions across the entire company except for Crystal City and PHL......... :censored:

or to put it another way...most Union employees have more time on the company cr*pper than most of the Employees in Crystal City have company time. So I guess we can blame it all on company cr*p. Works for me
