What's new

USAirways CEO tries to shed airlines past.

Well for what it's worth, if it came from PHL or "that other hub/focus city" on the East coast then I believe you, and admit it guys you know damn well that some of these creeps are foolish enough to pull something like that. I've seen first hand how some of the West crews have been treated and it's nothing short of complete Bull$#!T and childish stupidity. I'm gonna give these guys that much and it's uncalled for no matter what you think!!

It was PHL, you are correct 🙂

Ever think it could have been a dog in a kennel that leaked out?

Folks,

Final warning--stop the name calling and personal snipes NOW.

The corn field awaits....

Let's act like adults for a change.

Giggling at the thought of UWCactus/Jetsetter2ord working a flight to FRA in his grocery smock full of tools...

US use to carry animals, he did not say if it was pre or post merger.

HP did not, US Airways did when it was a real airline.

We still do carry animals. The shuttle does ,ask Sen Chappaquitick Kennedy. We carry his dogs all the time with or without him.

Isn't the difference that our planes have climate control down there and El Cheapo's don't?

Here's another thing...

in all my years here.....I've never seen us at the bottom of the DOT rankings for so many months.

Even after multiple incidents.....baggage meltdowns...in all of our trials and challenges,

it never took as long as this to fix anything. It really irks me that they paid millions

in consultant fees, and no one in the VP ranks is held accountable for their failures. When you

have to pay professionals to help you out...what does that say about your own people and their competency or lack thereof???

In any case, in some areas we have seen some improvement, but until we can get a computer

system that actually functions consistently and quickly, we are doomed to stay at the bottom.

Crusher....tadjr....hang in there....hopefully one day things will change.

I cannot tell you how poor the condition of the overhead bin latches are on the 737s from both fleets. I cannot tell you how many times an overhead bin flies open on takeoff or landing. I did a LAX-LAS flight a while back where it flew open and this gigantic floral arrangement thing fell down all over the people below. That's a photo I'd love to have had.

Seriously, if I had my camera with me 100% of the time I could definitely catch some atrocities going on. I think video could also be compelling. Take a movie and load it on youtube. I'd like to see a video of a customer service encounter.

Nothing to do with being cheap, the HP Airbus fleet was not configured with cargo heat to carry animals, your pet is allowed in the cabin in a animal carrier if it fit under the seat in front of you. All the B737's have cargo heat, and I believe the B757s do too.
