Most of the strip hotels you want to actually stay in give you a rate based only and exclusively on the amount of money you cycle thru the tables/slots.

How true.

Twenty-five years ago I worked for a dude who only gambled at the $2500 min bet blackjack tables and he got us free rooms all the time at Caesars.

Never could figure it out, everytime I saw him play he won (double down with thirteen, dealer showing a face card was one instance).

Taking off one day, on the turn out east, I remarked "Vegas, a town built by losers". He said, "No, it is a town built by winners". He is right, in more ways than one.
