Isn't it sad that rather then address memberships concerns, Big V is gonna hunt you down.

Just goes to show her arrogance and sense of entitlement. Great leadership skills oh plump one.

Not only do we have to worry about US management, but now we have to worry about our own union officers coming after us?

Something is really wrong here.

Time to take back our union like the IAM did.

No more "Letters of Agreement", and Velvet must go!

Time for Cohen's party girl to buy her own drinks.

RIGHT ON! The man

Coming from the west side, some depts have lived with this attendance policy for a very long time. I can attest to agents vomiting in garbage cans at their desks due to being at risk of losing their jobs per the attendance policy. This was prior to the merger. Most agents are used to bringing in their own disinfectant to clean computers and fons knowing many come to work sick. I am one who goes to work sick,( used to it, as we all are) and once was told by management " YOU need to go home," My response: "YOU need to change your attendance policy.". They just walked away. Its now the principle of it. Im here and you know Im not able to perform up to my own standards but you dont give a sh** as long as I am there. Thats OK for now, but watch out for future contracts because its something we are ALL going to be looking to change. By the way, Does Velvet have to adhere to any attendance policy and because your dues pay her salary do you have access to her attendance record? Just wondering. Better start "boning" up on the Vitamin C and eat your vegies. It may be a long hard winter. Regards, Mama

once again, this is not entirely about the ACP....its about how things with CWA always seem to get passed or written up as a LOA without the membership knowing about it..it is time for new faces....how about that LOA that gave FT westies (and I was a former westie for the record)the opportunity to become CSS??? No panel or nothing.....and now, if we have furloughs...they are protected regardless of number of years......so we can get down to 20 agents and still have 7 CSS...something aint right....who got to vote or have input on the LOA??? Betcha I could guess.....

😱 Had no idea you guys have been dealing with this unforgiving attendance policy for so long.... I'm orginally an eastie....Maybe the general public needs to know how US Airways employees are being treated. Come to work sick and make sure everyone gets ill. Have a sick child, too bad. Get into a car accident and get an attendance point. You have to be kidding me. How is this fair in any respect? What kind of attendance policy does management have. Let's all share. I invite any management personnel who had input into this ACP to answer this honestly. Do you have the same policy as us????I certainly don't expect any of you to have the integrity to answer honestly. Apparently the pay arbitration went against the employees. I can tell you personally how nice it is to stand next to a less seniority employee making more money. It's a great feeling. One I can't describe..... However, it's not over till the fat lady sings...Nothing personal Velvet. There needs to be some changes made regarding CWA upper management. There are a lot of great local presidents who work their asses off trying to make a difference. Larry Cohen, do you hear me? Stop trying to pass the buck. What have you done for us lately? Would like to know. Call me, we'll chat...We are all sick and tired of the BS.

Well I'm not sure on your attendance policy, but let's say you get sick one or three days a year. Do you get paid 100%? FAs get paid 70% of sick ... Just an FYI for ya

Let's take a lesson from our passengers. If your not happy with an employee, speak to her boss. I think several hundred emails to Velvet's boss might get some attention. So let's not just sit around gripping, let's get something done.

Keep those E-mails coming..............

Velevet's boss - Annie Hill , Executive V.P. CWA - Annie_hill@cwa-union.org

It's a start, and those petitions will help too. I'm with The Man, let's take back our union.

I agree. I'm also with The Man. We need to be represented PROPERLY.

For one, the idea that customer contact employees going to work sick, tagging bags that ramp has to pick up, that passengers get, and giving boarding passes and what not...you get the idea. We may be an airline with top-notch on-time performance, but will it be at the expense of our customers getting sick, or our fellow coworkers getting sick?! It shouldn't be that way. Nor should we risk life or limb to arrive to work on time to avoid points (safety first?). No, it should NOT be that way!

Actually no. Starting the first of July each year, the first 5 sick days are docked at half pay and half time deleted from sick bank. Each occurance after the first 5 get full pay.

Wow, that makes sense  So, in order to get full pay on sick you have to be out 5 days and then you get paid? I'm sure once you hit that 5 day point you get "dependability issues" in your file and a suspension without pay (or worse)? Nice

It should be interesting to see how this pans out with Velvet ... We'll be watching. Good Luck!

Ready to FIRE my letter to HER BOSS>>

Can you say now, I can sit home and Eat DONUTS all day Long!
