MDA was staffed by displaced TWU dispatchers operating in the same building. Had there been a vacancy from OCC the senior displaced dispatcher at MDA would be recalled to the mainline desks for recertification. Now that NDA is owned and dispatched by republic those dispatchers plus mainline dispatcher are hitting the street. This also due the return of last 737-300-400's and A319-320's that went back to the lessor as part of the agreement during BK-11.
Some dispatchers from the east that were laid off years ago are currently dispatch out of Tempe for the west side. So unless the displaced east dispatchers are on the seniority list when the picture of the east and west list taken and the groups are intergrated .Those not on the list may be lost for good.

MDA is not owned and operated by Republic, Republic has bought or taken over leases of the 25 170's operated by MDA on the Mainline certificate. From day one all MDA dispatchers were displaced/furloughed Mainline, as further cutbacks occurred and continue to occur, the dispatch names continue to change driven by senority, the bottom dispatchers on the senority list are at MDA and that will remain until the final day of operation which is scheduled to be May 28, 2006. Republic currently has taken 9 of the 25 aircraft which they operate on their certificate with their personnel.

Total number of aircraft in the US Fleet east drives the total number of personnel to support IE: Dispatchers, crew schedulers, coordinators, mtc controllers.
