Was it delayed, cancelled, ect.?
FLL was B. Ben Baldanza's project. Phase II left with him when he went to Spirit. Was it delayed, cancelled, ect.?
Phase II left with him when he went to Spirit.
The market out of South Florida was there to coddle (AA has an iron grip on MIA and will never be threatened there, BUT FLL has critical Latino populations that want to visit their homeland). It is a KNOWN fact the South Fla population center migrated north to the metro FLL area after 'cane Andrew........hopefully Mr. Parker & Kirby will REEXAMINE this venture and truly dedicate ourselves to the market.Like another poster said, this was Ben Baldanza's plan.
So the accurate answer to Where's Phase II? It's called Spirit.
It is a shame though-parts of the plan would have worked really well...
My best to you all...
Well I have loved working at the station level, but I may no longer be part of the USAirways family in February when Republic takes over the flying. I've been offered a job with another airline in Ft. Lauderdale and another airline wants me to do their sales & marketing on a consultant basis (part 121 carrier too!)... these new opportunities are more along my line of work... just need to sign the contracts and relocate (yet again!)
Plus my posts here, which by my own fault, have been noticed (and tracked) by our management, so I have no opportunity to grow at USAirways...
I'm confused. Spirit had this plan in place before US Airways. They filed for the routes first (about a year earlier) and a check of the DOT filings confirm this. The lead investor, Oaktree, just lured Ben Baldanza to carry them out. So why are people saying that it was Ben's plan and Spirit took US Airway's plan?

i thought U ran when AA ramped up out of MIA in retaliation, and dumped the FLL plan.
