I have heard from some Airbus pilots that the A-321 is somewhat underpowered, and it sometimes has problems climbing to an efficient cruise altitude with full fuel and load. Some transcons start out very low, cruising in the 20's for a while before being light enough to get to FL310 or higher. Similar flights on the same days in 319's or 320's are as high as FL350 by that time (according to Flight Explorer).

Therefore I think BOS is a performance issue as well.

A321 issue is not an excuse. What .....can't somebeody figure out that we should use a 757!!!!!!! And Saturday only service???? That means you can only fly USairways if you plan on stayin a week in LAS or if you want to connect on the way back!!! You know what most people I know say when you say connection......YUCK!!!!

LGA-LAS (and LGA-SJU) being Saturday-only is due to the perimeter rule at LGA. These flights are ONLY allowed to operate on Saturday, so it's not like our competitors would be offering nonstops in the markets.
