O.K.

Now what... I have talked with some AGC's and they have no idea......Can the Company just make the West merge under the IAM's current contract?

I'm sticking my neck out. We have an option that has been presenting to West over the forum before. And it requires the representing union IAM to go ahead and negotiate for West while the COC is going with East. We, collectively, as West, will have to urge our representation to address this. Apparently, after asking, I was told that the company whould not want to while arbitration is on going. But, since we, West have an active contract under the TWU; They, the IAM, would have to exert their authority in our behalf even while the Sept. arbitration goes forward. We will see what our leaders of our union propose. But, I have been asking any lawyer to clarify our rights on the West vs the efforts IAM have afforded the East.
Further more, I have requested Bill Chandlee to clarify if West is to be 100% equalized going into this decision of the arbitrator. There is no reply. I'm not sure anyone in the IAM fully knows how both sides are represented. Otherwise it would be very clear to this point.

I dont think they can.One point is if it could have been done Parker would have done it.He would be rolling in savings.
As best I know both work groups in the west tech's and fleet are under there own agreement.Agreements do not become void or expire. They just have amendable dates for the life of the membership as long as they are union represented.

Im sure the company would like you to think otherwise. However in Dougs own words he instructed others to make sure you were treated fairly by your existing agreements in a meeting with maint in PHX,its on the hub.

The IAM is bound by rules to inforce your contract as they are your soul rep's.

Ive said it before this company does not want 141 and 142 groups in sec 6 at one time.
That would mean 4 work groups and 4 contracts at the same time. All in sec 6 looking at possible strike language down the line.Holly Molly Batman.....

I am Hope Full For Section 6, for The Maintenance & Related AWA West Mechanic's.
The Topic is Scheduled for Meetings After the CHANGE OF CONTROL Aribitration Hearing, 13 & 14 Sept,2007.
