what's happened to a few of the high end posters?

We haven't heard from BlackMac, Downwash or RotorPilot in quite some time.

Are they in solitude somewhere? Perhaps still here under an assumed identity? Maybe kidnapped by extremists?

Maybe Dr. Evil has them captive in His Costa Rica hideout.

Ditto touchdown, 4961, VRef, et al. I know a few have told me they're fed up with the negativity and childishness.

If they are upset they should say so on line not just disappear.

Hi all, sorry if I've been quiet.
Just got back from a week up at TLH with the Skyline boys. Nothing to report, I'm sworn.
Not a bad week, some WX, some good times, some sitting at the bottom of the hill rotting waiting for some very average skiers to break my heart.
I'll pipe up. I have things to say. Oh Ya!

😀 4961 Will be bye on Friday with your Shite. Secracy my a$$, that poor girl is still screamin' her own name. Your my herooooo! 😉 😛 Oh'ya about our conversation regarding you know what. We'll "I'am on the Motha' F@#$er". B)

MagSeal: In response to were are the guys, I could ask the same question.

Last week was spent at a funeral, so I was out of touch.

Hepac is on a ONE YEAR trial basis to try and raise enough members and have a viable association.

Members make an association and in turn form comitte's as required to address issue's.

A few people have responded with thier application and membership fee to show thier support, which is much appreciated.

For your edification the board presently consists of Kyle as VP communication, Biggles as VP associate membership, Helicopper as VP operations. We are hoping Magseal would become VP for the AME's.

As you can see, I can only try and get volunteer's to fill some of the positions, we three are the original directors of HEPAC who signed the application for incorporation on behalf of the AME's and Pilots in the helicopter industry.

I TRULY BELIEVE WE DID OR PART (BIGGLES, HELICOPPER & myself)

I have had calls asking me what the membership fee will give the individual.

IF WE DONOT GET ENOUGH MEMBERS TO FORM A QUORUM, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

MEMBERS MAKE IT HAPPEN IN CONJUNCTION WITH A VIABLE ASSOCIATION.

GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES.

GET THE WORD OUT AND BE SAVED.

JOIN HEPAC NOW.

Well that's all you had to say.

Well Blackmac, glad to hear you're still kicking. My life just isn't complete without you.

Since I trust Biggles more than you, I'll be in touch with her about me leading the AME front and see if she can convince me over cookies and milk. 😀 ( I just missed a chance to talk to Helicopper. )

Since I'm not after the glory, or the flaming end to my career, I'm hoping there is something else in it for me, like maybe a free t-shirt or a sticker for my toolbox.

I think I was a little more descriptive to CTD when I stated a reluctance to participate in this forum of late. I continue to read items looking for the wheat amongst the chaff so to speak. My disappointment, and likely that of others, is the direction this open forum has taken. I see egos here that don't belong in the cockpit. If I was an employer these individuals wouldn't be hired, if I was the captain there would be copilots that would be re-educated, and if I was the customer I'd be on the phone to the company pretty quick. Yes our industry breeds individualism and more than a few characters. Yes there is a comradery in our group because of it's size and the fact we've all shared similar hardships and excitements (like a good water drop on a hot spot or an approach to minimums offshore). However if the time is right for an association like HEPAC it's time we look at ourselves when we're in public (ie. this forum) and act the professionals that we want to be seen as. Kyle can't moderate attitude. I hope the folks new to the industry feel welcomed here, learn about topics like training, employment, and the technical side like "boy I'll never do that again." Sure let's have fun while we do this but keep in mind a lot of other folks read our rants and jokes.
😉 Sorry to rant.

🙁 TD My appologies to you and the rest of the ladies and gentlemen representing our industry, for that last post. It was an inside joke and should have been sent via pm. Reading it this morning, I realize that it was nor the time or the place. Computers and beer should not be in the same room together 🙁 Dohhhhhhh . I agree this forum should be education based. It is a fantastic tool for industry types to interact and share information via semi-realtime. Conversely the reflection on us, as a professional group as well as that from an outside perspective should not be swain or de-railed by a hooligan like myself. My apolgies once again for hi-jacking a topic for personal banter. 😳 Point well taken...

4961 traveling today with your info. See you tomorrow @ Whistler. I may need a hug, everybody's picking on me.......  😉 Just kidding.

Hey Big D, go easy on yurself, not a big deal, besides for the most part the "guys" are also all part of the "Old boys" club which includes just about most around here anyways. Kinda missing Cap though, haven't heard from him in eons! And you're right about not mixing computers & beer, but ya gotta admit, the turn out can be pretty dang funny - and we all know once ya hit the send button THAT'S IT!!! I recall Vert Ref saying something to me a while back (xmas time)that friends don't let friends type drunk! 😛

Touchdown, couldn't agree with you more!

Anyone who has slipped and sinned on this forum can contact me for spiritual comfort ( not the liquid kind, that is usually what promped you to sin in the first place. )

I really don't have much happening right now so my time is quite flexible...

Remember the group that preys to gether stays together.

PREYS...get it?

TD;

Since you quoted one of my posts I take it you are directing your comments towards me? If you disaggree with my POV than perhaps you could comment on it. Having read these forums for some time without commenting I decided to put in my two cents, perhaps I sometimes try not waste too much time getting to the point, but was extremely tired of the Astar bashing that was going on, YOU are right that others read these forums so to continually banter back and forth on types gets my blood hot, my customers don't like it either. You want to compare piasakis to cessna skycars then be my guest but negative comments that are unproffessional jibes on an aircraft that I make my livlihood by will get a reaction. Ya lately have been posting, you don't like it well step up to the plate and say something at the time, your POV is like everyone's elses, it is yours. I will not attempt to say otherwise, nor will attack you personnally because of it.

You speak of the direction this forum has taken as of late, I see a few more different people on it, perhaps they speak there opinions differently then you(or I). If you only want to have certain people replying to topics in a certain manner, I am afraid that as the website gets more popular then there will be more and more people posting on it, so if I leave, there will be another egotist to take my place, if you want to not hire me, or have my customers call, reminds me of a joke that is rather rude about god and a helicopter pilot. As was mentioned by another not too long ago that the down side of these forums is the lack of ability to judge the inflection of the voice behind what is printed. When I read someones post I try put it into my own voice and another's.
