Who are you going to vote for and why?

For the person who stated that only the ignorant will vote for Obama, I cannot help but wonder if the same enlighten ones who supposedly will vote for McCain are the same enlightened ones who put the current bunch of half with neanderthals in office for 2 terms.

Personally, if I were a member of that esteemed club, I do not think I would want to show my face in public but I guess different strokes for different folks.

I think McCain, Obama and Biden are all pretty same but the idea of having Palin anywhere near the WH just sends a shiver up my spine. Bush has virtually no creditability anywhere whether it be in the US or the rest of the world. The idea of having Palin in the WH would make this country the laughing stock of the world.

I hope this country is smart enough to tell her no. I have no idea who happened to McCain but I really wish he would get rid of who ever they are and go back to who he was back in 2000 and before. The old McCain never would have run such a pathetic campaign and never would have picked someone as unqualified as Palin just to cow-tow to his base.

My point was that if we don't bail out the folks who screwed up, the rest of us who did not screw up take a bath along with them. Seems either way we turn, there will be quite a few innocent people sucked up in the back draft of this mess.

you are right, its not just bailing out people its actually protecting responsible homeowners investment as well. because regarding real estate properties in this downturn so significantly its all encompassing.

so three senators are on equal levels but a Govenor is not.. why did you single her out?

Obama has one year in the Senate. And it was not exactly a distinguished year! He spent most of it gearing up for his Presidential run. Palin does have experience as a governor which is alot more than Obama. Obama has shown severe lack of judgement in his personal life and in his run for president.

The other poster was correct; Obama seldom answers a direct questions but uses Clintonesque tactics to avoid the issues. He is the scary one.

In California, I am 'yes' for Proposition 8.

Come to ‘The Call’ in San Diego on the 1st of November.

I am a no for Prop 8...as I think there are enough (the highest in the nation) straight divorces in Cali as it is. We need to spread the love. Equality for all. Hey, if people don't like it they shouldn't marry someone of the same sex!

Because I have heard her talk and in my opinion she is unable to full fill the role of POTUS. She has no curriosity about the world (never been out of it till recently not including Canada). Her life seems to be based on religious dogma rather than logic (believes in ID, and other such nonsense) Her manner of speech lack professionalism (winks, sneers, golly gees ....). Her logic is twisted (the fact that she lives near Russia gives her international experience?).

I am not sure if you watched the Couric interviews but I have no interest in having 'that' in the WH. I have no interest in haveing something with that level of inteligence any where near the WH. LIke I said, McCain used ot be a good candidate, even in his current form he is tolerable, but picking Palin as a VP is scary. I can only hope that America is smart enough to keep her out of the WH.

I could care less about 'experience'. Reagan and W Bush were both governors and they did not work out all that well. OK, W sucked hot sweaty monkey balls. Clinton was a governor and he worked out OK except for the fact that he could not keep his pants zipped for 8 yrs. As I have said else where, experience is not all it's cracked up to be. I believe education, logic, the ability to listen, a good cabinate are far more important. I do not believe Bidens 'experience would make him a better VP than Palin. I do not believe that McCains experience would make him a better POTUS than Obama. I do believe that Biden is far smarted in every sense of the word than Palin. I believe that Obama and McCain are both 'fit' to be POTUS I just happen to agree with Obama on more issues than McCain.

Obama has one year in the Senate.

How is life back in 2006? Since you are from the past, and able to read/post on USAviation in the future, you should know that 2008 is a rocky year... you should start shortselling bank stocks and buying oil contracts in 2007. Remember these words, as they will prove useful when you catch up to everyone else's present time.

May I share with you some real facts about Senator Obama vs. the incorrect ones you seem to believe are true?

All easily found with a click on Wiki:

"Mr. Obama served three terms in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003. After a primary victory in March 2004, Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.

As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th
Congress, he helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. After announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama emphasized withdrawing American troops from Iraq, energy independence, decreasing the influence of lobbyists, and promoting universal health care as top national priorities."

Mr. Obama has been the elected representative of millions of citizens long before Ms. Palins garnered experience representing Alaska's 750,000 residents. Quite a bit of difference in levels of experience I would say.

Quite a few more years of experience than you were led to believe.

Mrs. Palin was mayor of a hamlet with 1 stop light (the town had about 6,300 residents, with about 950 voters). Most recently, she has been Gov. of the State of Alaska for 1 1/2 years. Prior to becoming mayor of Wasilla she worked as a newscaster, beauty pagent participant.

W was governor for 6 years ... SO? You make it sound as if being governor actually means something. McCain looses to a man who called his adopted daughter a illegitimate love child and then buddies up to him. McCain was on the same stage accepting an endorsement from a man who said that god took out New Orleans because it was a sinful city as well as other insane rantings. They are politicians. By definition they have no judgment.

To claim that McCain has judgment while Obama doe not is funny. Someone who had judgement would not have chosen Palin as his running mate.

As for politicians answering a question all I have to say is ... really? Show me where any politician has answered a question regarding something that is controversial or uncomfortable. Show me one politician who has said that the dumb ass home buys are partially responsible for the ass backwards loans they signed.

Please do not be deluded into thinking your chit does not stink like everyone else. If you want proof, stick a match by your butt next time you fart.

Now that there is down right funny I tell you.

Sorry for your situation but that was not my point. My point was that if we don't bail out the folks who screwed up, the rest of us who did not screw up take a bath along with them. Seems either way we turn, there will be quite a few innocent people sucked up in the back draft of this mess.

Where do you come up with this drivel? Since when does giving your hard-earned money to people who bet the farm on a real estate bubble help you?

Gilding,
actually 4merresrat is right regaring total days.
he has spent a total of roughly a year on the job regarding and I believe it was 304 days total in session,
also you have to take into consideration a senator may actually work on days they do not vote, such as,
the trip to Afghanistan and to Iraq was made in his capacity as senator. you cannot look at it simply from year to year as opposed to the total number of days actually voting or representing his position which equals a year, the rest of the time was spent initially exploratory seeking another office, actual campaigning and of course meeting and greeting the supporters over the past 18 months.

Thank you for your perspective, I would like to say I understand your reasoning a little more clearly regarding the Govenor, But I dont.. as it seems more like a personal opinion because you commented you could care less about experience which tells me its more of just personality "quirks" you find relevent as opposed to actual leadership qualities? if experience doesnt matter then its all just a popularity contest?
