I don't have my contract in front of me. But if you read it . It's pretty plan on COC meaning ownership and transfer of stock

and so forth. Doug was able to pull the last one out of his arse . because of the BK . but in this environment I don't think it will be as easy

to do. therefore anyone wanting to take part in a marriage with us doesn't want to pay for it thru contract language.

Look at all the Pay disparity between the East, 2 different pay scales. Then there is the West. Lower than both East pay scales with eceptions. If bought the East will have 1 pay scale for everybody. That would top out at $21 plus per hr. So we may turn into their "bit**es" as you say, but we would be high priced bit**es.

realized HIS EMPLOYEES were part of the team . and changed the culture over there. OUR management see's us as the

I realize that the west's CBA does not have the COC language in it, bur ours does. If we are bought by friendly or hostile means, it would trigger the COC language and BOOM instant raise for the EAST. To $21 and change for everyboby. Not just Class I citys. That is a big obstical to overcome when shopping around for potential buyers.

Right. But DP is going to wait for an airline to fall into bankruptcy so the language is nullified. He has said many times that he will only merge when the timing is right. Look at the Delta attempt. They were in bankruptcy but they rejected us bigtime.

He will go out of his way to make sure no contracts or previous obligations will come back to haunt him. We know he doesn't honor proper business ethics because of the way he pulled out of PIT after they molded that airport around US AIR.

Best case for us would be for every other airline to merge, and we get what's left while that company is in good standing so the COC language still applies. i wouldn't count on it though, it's a longshot.

And the fact that the West isn't a part of the East language should be faught in court. Precedents need to be set to protect the workforce. Again, just another shady business practice from Parker. I really hate that guy.

valid point. Your right Doug doesn't have the skills to pull off a merger without the fledgling carrier being left for dead.

They will be sworn in at the District convention in October. A complete re-evaluation of the negotiations committee will be in order. Canale has things all screwed up.
Local nomination meetings started today. I'll be running a full report of the Locals on this thread. PHL, PHX, JFK, LAX, IND, MCO, MEM are up tomorrow. Next day, ORD, DEN, SFO 1782, CLE, DTW. Then LAS, IAH, SLC, OKC on Thursday.

Here i think your wrong again , i can't imagine any legal clause in any contract that would prohibit one company from buying another in a hostile manner , think about it ,would it make sense ? if companies never wanted to be bought by other companies they would just insert legal clauses into their workers contract saying in XYZ case of transfer of ownership the new company is to pay the old workers 300 billion dollars ... sorry guys but your reasoning doesnt seem sound

I can tell you first hand by asking him that the COC applied to old VP Al Crellin. That is why he left this Company with 7 MIL$. It can apply and does apply in most cases. The arbitrators decision was " His opinion ". The COC is still alive and kickin................

I'm not concinced that Ron isn't trying to play both sides here. Sure, you know and trust RR, but nobody in PHX knows and understands the politics involved in the union. Anybody who is loyal to Cheap suites should be highly scrutinized.

Ron does keep us informed on the whats happening, but he never has a rebuttle to what the East has to say, it's like he's afraid to debate these guys. Tim has pointed out many inconsistancies on him.

I would rather take my chances with a clean slate across the board.

I don’t have a problem with chris , he’s a good guy and did good work as the treasure agent under our old TWU union , but I still believe that ron is the better man to represent our new union …

As for the whole , if your not with us your against us BS … just remember , RON isn’t one of your original IAM boys , he represents us here in PHX and soon you could have the opptunity for him to rep for you as well . How you ended up electing leaders you don’t trust is beyond me …..
