700,
very good point . thanks for pointing that out. You are right on with that.

golden,
You may want to save that coupon on the bottle. I'm thinking your gonna need .

freedom,
Your boy RR was willing to accept the latest proposal the company threw at us. let me quote

"Phx will except this contract now. " so RR really doesn't have the west interest at heart and definitely not the EAST .

So the big question is SHOULD THE RAMP HOPE FOR A MERGER WITH ANOTHER CARRIER???

Not necessarily, but the key is employee morale. There will always be room for smaller airlines, the merger mania that will happen will only lead to larger more out of touch organizations. The problem for USAir right now is none of the employee groups are happy. Look at Continental as the prime example of how a bad airline can become a great one. It can happen if US stands on its own and does what it must to get a better product, but the current management team needs to leave before that can happen.

So I guess I look at it this way.

1. Same management team, you'd better pray for a merger, one in which US is being bought and our leaders are kicked off the plane with their well earned Golden Parachutes.

2. God becomes a CEO (OK maybe not God, but someone with the vision of a Gordon Bethune) and USAir stands a chance to survive on its own and be a great company once again.

SUPER TUESDAY AT DISTRICT 141............................HISTORY IN THE MAKING

Be a part of it, nominate and vote for the new direction team.

Life will be good after the dead wood is washed away by the flood of fleet service anger.
"cheap suites" and his slate of super glued lipped agc's will be mounted and rode out of the barn.
PF and the belly warmer will get caught up in the collateral damage and be gone.

The COC is now more important than ever, thanks to the abitrator, the language is now
more defined and more important to fleet negotiations. Al and company know this.

New direction = garbage. Yeah I want a bunch of no names who dont know how to do grievances and a giant slacker negotiating my contract. Mark my words if new direction wins.....our future is lost. I hope most people are smarter then listening to new direction campaign propaganda. Opportunists using bankruptcy with concessions and mergers to their political advantage. Misleading members to win a election. Shameless. 'We want change.' Be careful what you wish for you just might get it.

Yo Guys! Just so you know I do not have a 2nd screen name!

Ok 141 voter,
Tell us what the current general chairman and the agc's have done for the fleet group
at US.
They won't put up a fight, they won't consider work action, they love conventions, they love
steak and lobster, they won't listen to the membership, they love bowing to parker, they
love selling out the people who pay thier salaries.
Come on dude tell us.

You defintely sound like your in thier camp. what have you done for the membership?
In the upcoming days, I'll do my part for the membership and cast my ballot for the
New Direction slate.

This is democracy in action, HISTORY IN THE MAKING

DL141 ELECTION UPDATE:

JFK local 1322: 42 voted and the whole NEW DIRECTION TEAM won.

Canale got 3 votes, Delaney got 39.
No other member of the NEW DIRECTION TEAM got less than 36 votes.

Politically, R Ch got lambasted and experienced 'great pain' by his own as he is a current AGC but couldn't come through with more than 3 votes for his Boss.

New Direction Team Member Mike Klemm came through in a big way as he is the most respected member of that Local and is their Local President and Greivance Chairman.

Remember, Boss Canale's team is out there running their mouths about how the NEW DIRECTION TEAM is made of of disgruntled members who are lazy. Don't believe Boss Canale, believe the membership who these guys serve because they know our candidates better than anyone. OTOH, watch closely how Boss Canale's team will have 'issues' with trying to get the nominations from their home locals.

Brother I couldnt have said that any better!

Canale and his slate partners have treated members of this district very poorly and since the track record for them is such a disgrace all they can do is try to throw mud.

What a sad bunch of so called union leaders they cannot stand on there record and all they can do is say anything to keep there gravy flowing.

Well the beginning of the end starts this month for Canale and his Canalites.

Well I'm off to Nominations and looking towards a fresh start with the New Directions Slate!

In politics we often hear the politician yelling '4 more years, 4 more years' for us it is '2 more years, 2 more years' as in 2 more years under the same crappy working conditions. Stop the infighting and do some real good. Tim, have you started the countdown calendar for when you join the 100K club?

And before anyone chimes in for the 1,000 annoying time, I am not PF and not a part of the 100K club.

Now back to your usual bickering!

District 141 Officer Elections

MCO Numbers are in:

Delaney wins again, Canale loses.

Out of 22 candidates running for office, NEW DIRECTION TEAM wins 16 nominations, Canale's team wins 2, and 4 positions tied and will be in a runoff next month.

NEW DIRECTIONS TEAM: 2
Canale "The Cheap Suits" Team: 0

Get out and vote. Remember, the bigger the vote, the bigger your voice towards your union and company. We need to continue the "Shock and Awe" and "Scorched Earth" policy and take this District back for us members. The more Local nominations for the bigger the voice will be heard!

You need to back off. Tim may or may not have any ambitions to join the $100,000 club only he knows for sure. If he does, great I will give him my full support. All we know for sure is he provides us with good solid information and has the members best interest in mind. Keep the results coming it looks like the "revolution" has begun.

We know who you are so stop defending yourself. You came to my breakroom and disrespected the wrong people when you talked down to those in the breakroom. You have to remember, just because people work the ramp doesn't mean they are stupid. You don't stand a chance and you will be 'out'......'soon enough'.

At any rate, nobody is infighting, it's called democracy. Think on that word and you will come to a greater understanding on what is taking place. To those in power, democracy may look like infighting but when people exercise their democratic rights it is the exact opposite of infighting....yea, it is solidarity in action. We're just cleaning up the deadwood and taking over the District like we did at the local levels at UA and US last year. It's the "Scorched earth policy".

Infighting is going to be on the Canale 'cheap suits' team when they fail to do what they are expected to do to support eachother [see RC from JFK]
