PB,

For the pilot group (and my guess is other groups as well) intelligent choices will be made for whatever comes down the pike, just as they have in the past. At the end of the day, every pilot will have a say in the outcome.

Nuff said.

Just like you had a say in your pension termination?

Your MEC NEVER let the membership vote on that now, did they?

Are you saying the company wont come back to ask for more concessions or that labor wont give more concessions?

FYI,

At that time membership ratification was not required, it is now.

So if it is not required it makes it ok?

The MEC at the time did what they believed was the right thing to do, and it was legal representation for those 12 men to do what they did. I also think that given the facts and enough time to process them, the pilots would have made the tough choice to terminate the plan.

Having the benefit of history now, and considering that the other groups voted their pensions away, do you think the pilots not have chose to terminate?

We all have been faced with tough choices over the last few years.

Tug,

No one here has crystal ball. I the airline fails financially going forward, it will need more money. Those dollars could come from an investor/s, the sale of something (not much to sell, or employees.

Since all of the the labor groups and staffing is nearing the competition, there will be little or nothing to get.

I would not rule out anything going forward.

Positive news out today about the future that may amount to no financial strain ahead....

Just like after round one of concessions Dave told everyone that is what US needs to be succesful and profitable.

And not even 10 weeks later the unions were back at the concession table because US needed more and Bronner threatened liquidation.

Then March of 2003, US emerges bankruptcy with a POR that says US should be in great shape and take on the world.

Gee 18 months later back in bankruptcy and the employees have given more.

US' management (lack of it) speaks for itself.

Dont worry UYH, they will come back and take more from your wallet.

History speaks for itself.

Time will tell....
