The beef I have is I bet you that "Bubba Joe" doesn't have to carry those papers while leisurely spitting dip down the sidewalk. But because I'm brown I have to?

And at the risk of sounding like Colonel Jessup, I wish the blowhard right wing-nut AM radio talk hosts would quit throwing around the word "communism". I earned my DD-214 fighting the Soviet Union in the silent service (I know most people have short memory), which was a true communist state and world power. I don't think one of these jackasses ever saw service in any branch of the service.

What exactly can you do without a photo ID anymore, other than vote?...

You can't open a bank account, you can't get an apartment, you can't apply for food stamps, and you can't apply for unemployment... You can't get on an airplane, Amtrak, or Greyhound.

In your bizzarro world where only elites have drivers licenses, SB1070 is pretty specific in that there has to be probable cause to believe the person is in the US illegally. But, had you actually read the law, you'd know that.

I'm sure you're also one of these guys who think voter ID equates to voter suppression, yet also support Card Check whose sole intent is to deny employees the right to a private vote...

Blanket statement... I'm sure it's part of why they don't get more of the Latino vote, but right now, Latino's have trended to vote Republican about 25-30% which is enough to be noticed.

Immigration is a hot-button topic, but it's not the only issue they're concerned about. A fair percentage of Latinos who are here legally don't look too kindly on the ones who aren't. But they're more concerned about being taxed to death, having decent jobs, and the economy, especially as more and more enter the middle class. They're opposed to abortion, and neutral/opposed to gay marriage. Just ask them.

The study above shows that the split of Latino party affiliation is estimated at 45% D / 15% R / 40% Other/Indy

If the study is correct, it says two things:

** 55% of Latinos in Arizona don't find the Democrat agenda appealing enough to affiliate with them
** 40% of Latinos don't find either party appealing to affiliate

That's why it is an opportunity for the GOP, especially when you consider consider how many are Catholic.
 
Just saw where Boeing announced cuts nationwide and facility closings in california and others. The day after the election.

Most expect Lockeed Martin to do the same soon.

Stock market took biggest hit since july yesterday. Will see what it does today.

Spoke to a friend a month ago or so that owns a small manufacturing business. he flat out told me he was holding off on layoffs in his company in the hopes that Obama would lose the election. Said if he won he had no choice but to make cuts to his workforce. Said most of the other business owners that he deals with have told him the same thing.

I have a feeling its going to be an ugly 4 years for the country.

Got a call from financial advisor yesterday advising me to sell any coal interests and other non obama friendly parts of the portfolio. Not that I have a huge portfolio to start with. I asked him what his take was on current events and he said and I quote.."The country is screwed" I won't say which financial company he is with, but it is one of the largest in the country.
 
My favorites to bump are the 2011 Depression and the Herman Cain will be our next President threads.
