This is a long time coming. Tilton is on his way O - U - T.

What a joke

Maybe we should have pilots run the airline...
(OOPS... we already tried that and it did not work out so well...

I agree. Hope is all we have left. Wonder if our new direction fighting machinist will back this course. (no pun intended)

I was'nt going to wait,I resigned from UA a few months ago and now work for a very successful
cargo company. The Capt' is right, UA is now a shell of the once great airline it once was.
Tilton and his gang all need to get the BOOT !
I was a mechanic at UA and it seemed like a lot of the best were leaving, so I left too.

Don't ask him resign, Fire him!!! If Steven Wolf got fired, the BOD can fire him too. Make sure his millions stay with the company. Same rhetoric as "Goodwin Must Go". Get original with the rhetoric, please.

You guys are funny.......

Wolf was paid off with the ESOP (U Boyz remember that fiasco?).
You 'guys' did not like Edwardson so you chose your 'fair haired' lacky Goodwin.
You did not like Goodwin because he told the 'TRUTH' (hemorrhaging cash).
Y'all be happy N'Chit with Creighton because he did not do squat but let UA 'bleed' till the last drop.

Now you do not 'like' Tilton... Gee, what a big surprise

What 'pilot' lacky do you all propose to be in charge now?

Stephen Wolf was paid $12 million to leave and was booted by the BOD for the mess he created, especially selling off the flight kitchens and playing games with the IAM with his threats to sell them off. When the IAM agreed to the term of their negotiations, Wolf couldn't stop the sale. I agree we should have gone with Edwardson. He has been a great success with CDW. The pilots didn't like him because he wanted to clean house of the "dead wood". Goodwin was put in as Wolf's flunky to get the US/UA merger done. He was and still is a moron and had no business being CEO of any company. The merger kept being dangled in front of the employees and the employees kept voting it down. Goodwin took 3/4 of the companywide management staff to HQ to work on the merger. United paid for meals, hotels, apartments for months and Goodwin and his senior management took their eyes off the market and downturn in the business climate. He demonstrated then and there how inept he really was in the job. The company did not have to go through bankruptcy if he had been doing his job instead of trying to merge the two airlines and wining and dining for more than three months. Creighton was a placecard holder until he could get Tilton on board because he had experience successfully navigating Chevron through bankruptcy. He raped the employees and pilaged the retirees and plundered the company. He was brought in to bust the unions. He outsourced and took the U.S. operation down to barebones. Like the Sr. Traders in the Subprime market who kept pushing to get their big bonuses for putting together the mortgage deals that never should have been and the risk managers that closed their eyes and let the whole subprime fiasco occur. Tilton and all the other CEO's were also on the take for their big bonuses. Letting him resign and walk away with his multimillion stock options is insane and way too kind.

Well, that is only ‘partially’ true. Remember me from the yahoo boards?

Wolfe was not ‘booted’ from the board. He was ‘bought out’ through the ESOP. Look it up! EOS!

Wolfe was in the ‘sell’ everything mode. Kitchens were ‘already’ sold and UAL sweetened the ‘ESOP vote with the extended severance (28 weeks I believe). Wolfe could care less and used this as part of his ‘tool box’ (for you tools 😛 ) to extract the outcome that would fill his bank account.

No more, no less.

Maybe if you ‘Pie-Lets’ did not insist on running the airlines, we would not have the situation here ‘today’!

Even with the ‘rape’ of the employees, there is ‘still’ an ALPO and IAM member on the BOD!

WTF for? They never did #### for us in the past, what is any different today?

Then ALPO should have not supported him in the ‘beginning’!

Get it, Got it?

Once a fair haired lackey that did not bend to ‘all’ ALPO whims is now an enemy! GMAFB!

Creighton was a placecard holder

Creighton was an ALPO placebo. He sat on his A$$ for 18 months not leading/changing ‘DOING’ ‘anything’, yet I did not hear a ‘peep’ out of ALPO (or any other Onion) for him not taking corrective action to adjust the company to current market conditions (post 911).

until he could get Tilton on board because he had experience successfully navigating Chevron through bankruptcy. He raped the employees and pilaged the retirees and plundered the company.

Rape implies ‘unwillingness’, I believe that ‘ALL’ unions agreed to the sodomy, and ‘ALL’ had a ‘ME TOO’ clause that if one were raped, then ‘ALL’ must be raped. (is that legal... 😛)

Thanks for that little caveat; my ‘PBGC stipend’ is 33% of what it should be. Not much less if we would have all stood together and said ‘HELL NO!’.

He was brought in to bust the unions.

JMHO, You (Pie-Lets) might want to get your $### together, because no one respects you and you lost your ‘credibility’.

JMHO

According to many, Goodwin sucked, but all you pilots sure enjoyed the raise he let you have after the summer from hell. What percentage increase was it again: 30% or 40%? Who can forget the day an FO came to inform us that passes were now free thanks to him. If the airline went down back in the day, it was also because the pilots gave it a very good nudge.

Uh, Chevron was never in bankruptcy. Texaco filed bankruptcy after the Getty Oil debacle. But, Tilton did not even navigate Texaco through the bankruptcy. That occurred in the late 80's. Tilton had not yet ascended to the executive offices.

I see. So I guess we can add Ual Tech to the 'supports Glenn Tilton' column.

I'm sure Glenn will be glad to hear there's still one person that loves him.

When did I say that?
Best UA CEO in my career there was probably Greenwald during the ESOP.
Tilton is just another ‘cookie cutter’ executive in the executive class.
They ‘all’ pretty much do the same thing at all business enterprises and that is to maximize ‘their’ worth at any expense. They mouth ‘shareholder value’ while raping the company (you did notice who received 15% of the company on BK exit?).

If the ‘pilots’ are so adamant in getting rid of him, I only wonder what alternative would be acceptable. Now that you have identified the ‘problem’, you should offer a ‘better’ solution and I just do not see that happening.
