What's new

YOU GOTTA BE OUT OF YOUR FURPING MIND!

Unfortunately, there were unofficial postings on the internet that preceded the communiqué that was to come out from the Presidents Council. That internet posting was not only unofficial, but it was also factually inaccurate.

Holy ineptitude!

Hey, dennis! HELLO! "Unofficial" you mean before the twu could appologize for Arpey's offer? Or before an official "tuff stance" could be designed?

Buy the way, when/if we do go on strike will the Int. officers do without a pay check like the members will?

Recent Union actions.

GM/UAW sets STRIKE deadline. //.......Deadline exceeded //..Members STRIKE // "INSTANT SETTLEMENT" !!

CHRYSLER/UAW sets STRIKE deadline //...Deadline Exceeded //..Members STRIKE // "INSTANT SETTLEMENT !!

I ask you, "CAN ANYTHING BE MORE "SIMPLE/BASIC" than THAT" ????????????

I mean..."C,MON,What the FUUK" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, AMFA supporters WILL/ARE sending in cards,.........but I suggest to ALL AMT,s, ....SEND IN AMFA CARDS, even if some of you still WON'T vote for AMFA...Just to SCARE the SH*T  out of AA/TWU(same SH*T)

Trust me, if AA/TWU get any kind of a HINT that the TUL group is unified, they won't start making plans to DILUTE the vote, they'll get down to SERIOUS business by putting a legit offer on the table !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bears,

I think we see a "cross-pollination" occurring between the aviation and automotive industries.

My bet is that AMR, in seeking termination of the retiree medical, was proposing a "VBA" ala the UAW.

Given the factual lack of actual terms: we do not know what was actually proposed, just a skim coating of the terms passed between the parties.

During each and every contract cycle between the TWU and AMR, we have seen the TWU sell us on contracts whose language had yet to be written prior to submission to a Membership vote: there is no reason to believe that any of these dogs has learned new tricks. The old ones have worked just fine thus far.

TWU submits the outline of a TA for ratifiaction saying that "X" means so and so; the Company remains silent.

We pass the TA and then the TWU and the Company sit down to actually write the language: in the broadest possible terms.

The Company does "x" in supposed violation of the terms of Article "X": the TWU files arbitration but loses and then claims, "We'll Get'em Next Time!"

This is all just conjecture, but given my experience with the TWU and the Company: I'll bet we see more of the same.

The process of "submitting" unacceptable offers, they being rejected; followed by submission for ratification followed by posturing and acceptance is all part of the "lowering expectations" game.

AA needs to add a 40% pay cut and no medical for any union employee to its lastest round of talks.

Where are all the pro-company supporters on this one?

After giving back $20,000 a yea,,this is what they want to restore..

I love the restoration of another vacation week for 5 year or less employees...Does anyone know of any 5 year or less mechanics?
There are guys out there whom the company is in process of recalling. If they accept, they will have less then 5 years. At the rate the company is currently burning through the recall list system wide, they will probably be going to the street in a fairly short period of time. If I had accepted my recall, I would have right at 5 years company time my first day back.

Does the elimination of Retiree Medical include those already retired, or is it just elimination for future retirees? In either case, it's a chicken sh*t thing for the company to even offer, much less for the union to even consider accepting.
I read this in about two minutes taking breaks to laugh at this piece of crap. Why did it take the twu two weeks to make a decision. This is a no brainer for the word NO. Oh and by the way we pay for our own retiree medical through prefunding.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like Birdshit is calling the local 565 leaders liars. I guess the 565 leaders should have better morals and charactor such as his. Does anybody know if any of the 565 leaders have beaten their wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It took 2 weeks because they had to see how much money they could make selling retiree medical. Expect to see the same contract in a few months, but with the twu selling you a bundle package of life insurance, LTD, and retiree medical.

Sign your card, dump these a-holes...

<_< ----- Swdriver, Why don't you just butt out! Your obviously not in the industry, yet alone work for AA, because you sure as #### don't know what your talking about!

Note how The Worthless Union still doesn't detail the company's proposal in its entirety.
"In part?" Why not detail all of it for the dues-payers?

How much "variable comp?" Given the TWU's failure to negotiate sufficient upside in 2003, I wouldn't trust these clowns' ability to correctly analyze any variable comp proposal.

What are the cowards afraid of?

You guys really need to remove these clowns. You give them 2 hours of pay each month? What for? T-shirts? Slogans? What do you get for all that money?

You should look at the letter the International put out if you think thats bad. The way they listed the proposals you would think the company wrote it:
1. Holiday enhancement
2. Vacation enhancement (limited application)
3. Sick enhancement(limited application)
4. Compensation (lump sum)
5. Variable compensation (conceptual)
6. Working together bonus
7. Signing bonus
8. Removal of the 6%ASM cap
9. Retiree Medical
10. Crew Chief Selection
11. Various work rule changes

Notice the way only positive or neutral terms are used and details are completely lacking. Obviously this is the way the company wanted the TWU to present it to the members.

Thanks to the 565 officers for putting out the info, its sad to see how much Local 562 has declined. Once that was the Local that members looked to for information but under WHOliano 562 is nothing but a silent lamb waiting for instructions from the International wolf.
