INVOL, Thanks for the new job!!

I was wondering what to do with all this projected free time?[img src='http://www.usaviation.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif']

I guess it will come as a great big surprise..but I will be contacting our friends at Boeing for the fleet type...and Itrade will have to whale on them for the financing!![img src='http://www.usaviation.com/idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif']

Be advised, N628AU and 757Fixer are definately going to be some of my first hires in the M&E Dept.

My suggestion for Acft type are definately the B757 with RB211-535's hanging from them.

The next logical choice would be a B737NG..depending yet again on Itrades ability to secure the needed rates?[img src='http://www.usaviation.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif']

Not having a lick of knowledge or interest in the other aspects of this business...I will withold and opinion on Names, Routing , and all the Customer Service jazz...we have experts lining up to enlighten us on that.

I will start working on the MPP..and get the tooling and facilities squared away...needless to say we will operate maintenance from a climate friendly location...We will not be De-Icing before test hops or RON work. [img src='http://www.usaviation.com/idealbb/images/smilies/2.gif']

Captain Munn had better brush up on turning a yoke..instead of stick palming!!(LOL)[img src='http://www.usaviation.com/idealbb/images/smilies/9.gif']

Let''s start our own airline, folks. According to all the doom-and-gloomers (who are probably right) we''ll be needing new jobs anyway.
We''ll need a realistic fare structure, a simplified fleet, exceptional customer service and operational reliabity, fair FF program and perks (does this mean F/C, too?), maybe a whiz-bang on-board entertainment system. What else?
As for personnel-Art''s gotta be VP Customer Svc. AOG-guru of all that is maintenance. I-Trade''s in charge of financing. KC in marketing. Mr Bascom should head up FF program. Anyone else?
Can it fly??

Count me in!! I'm ready to ditch the ERJ 5-leg-a-day line flying! Sign me up as a 757 driver. Or, if a really effective business model still requires an express division, pencil me in for Director of Flight Operations, Express. Maybe somebody here will be interested in my insights on how to actually operate these things efficiently and make money

757Fixer, You got it buddy...I'll even see to it , that you make up the work schedule.

Keep in mind...all the Supervisory meetings for Maintenance will be on 3rd shift.

Fantasy airlines i like it...kinda go with fantasy football...

make it employee owned too

Invol,

Great idea! And if I am the Art you're referring to for VP Customer Service, I am truly honored. I'm not sure I can measure up to those of you currently in that department for US--it's hard to beat the best in the industry.

Anyway count me in!!!

Talk is cheap! This whole thread is a strange brew. If you can run an airline...do it! It is simple; revenue must exceed costs. This thread is very sophmorish.
