Another STN competitor ceases operations

Dunno. Silverjet has mostly UK point of sale, so it's a lot different of a picture than it was for Maxjet and Eos, who had mostly a US point of sale. By comparison, about 50% of AA's JFK-LON is US point of sale, and 50% Europe point of sale (majority originating in LON, the rest being transit from other points on BA or other carriers into LON). UA had a 70% US point of sale at one time to LHR, so I'll guess DL and CO are halfway between that and AA's 50% (More originating draw in NYC/EWR but not as much alliance traffic to feed the other end like AA has with BA).

It will take another few months to see T100 data for these markets, but I think AA will do OK.

Lots of what DL and CO are carrying on their new flights was on DL or CO to begin with -- just arriving at a new airport.

Maxjet and EOS were fighting over the same customers departing the same airport and using public transport into the city. In the UK, the originating pax are a little more segmented between LHR and LTN.
