SAVE THE MD-80 CLUB!

Always thought of the DC9/MD80 as "brand X" and to have some bizarre engineering quirks compared to "the leading brand", but it just flat out works...so what the h*ll...yeah, save the MD80.

I enjoyed flying in the MD-80 as a passenger. Pretty quiet in the cabin with the engines all the way back by the tail. They also got rid of that dreaded "moaning" found on the DC-9's w/o fan sync. I love the rate of climb on the 80 too. Like a homesick angel. Pretty hot set up indeed.
My only gripe was the pressurization system. Douglas never seemed to get a handle on that (IMHO). I always felt like my head was squeezed in a Jorgensen clamp

The "Lawn-Dart" is a good airplane alright......one worth saving.

Count me in...for a different reason

Everyone has said that it is the best plane they've flown in. I have yet to have this privilage and I WANT TO!
