TWU,TEAMSTERS AND AA

Good Bye Teamsters!!!!
As far as the TWU goes it is Mission Accomplished.
How sad that many of the Teamsters card signers did not want to believe the AMFA organizers. So who are the real winners and the real losers?

We as AMT's lost because many believed the Teamsters over the AMFA.
The TWU and AA are the winners because the TWU stays in power and it still has
a cozy relationship between the two.

Had enough yet boys?????

Not sure where you are going with this but your last question seems to be on point. Have you all had enough??

Your real fight is within your company and not with the IBT or AMFA. As long as you show divisiveness in the work place and prove it with clear evidence on these boards available for all to see, management will always be the real winner.

The biggest reason there is divisiveness is because the TWU always makes sure we are divided. We get rid of them and we will be a lot better off.

The one good thing is when base maint is devastated by this contract (according to the TWU) the TWU won't be able to say look what the IBT did to you.

Why would the TWU make one line local and one base local, when there is only one contract? Divide the membership!!!

I wonder if the TWU leadership is saying 1) We are awesome or 2) We need to do something for the membership to believe in us.

In one year when tul is decimated the credit will lie where it belongs with the twu. Any union the represents maintenance for the next year or two will not look good to anyone.

It will be 1 year for another representation election, unless/until there is a single carrier declared. At that, then this applies towards the bar rule:

"Procedure After Finding Single Transportation System
If the NMB determines that a single transportation system exists, the investigation will proceed to address the representation of the proper craft or class. The bar rules in NMB Rule §1206.4 (29 CFR § 1206.4) do not apply to applications filed under this section."

I doubt that any attorney will provide a persuasive argument to change that
