2 United Birds Clip Their Wings

There is no excuse for this. This is why we all are suppose to have "wing walkers".
I clicked on photos and zoomed in and found a huge overlap of the larger birds wing. What were these guys thinking? My only thought is maybe they thought the larger a/c wing would clear over the winglet. Again where were the extra set of eyes especially when so close to other a/c and or structures.

Words like "Collision" will draw far more clicks than the much more accurate (but much less exciting) tweet embedded in the article.

Yes, we all know, this incident in article posted, was indeed at the gate areas, which is why I ask again, where were the wing walkers or extra set of eyes when so close to other a/c???
