Never should have bought those darned expensive jet airplanes. DC-3s were good enough back then and they'd be good enough now. Screw those damned customers.

Keep pissing off your workers and inevitably you end up with pissed off customers. The only customer that workers have is the company they work for, the passengers are customers of the company.

The fact is that AA screwed over their workers and they continue to do so every day. They still cry poverty as they pisss money away everywhere else. They have money for everything except their workers.

Which one? NWA maybe, they were hiring off the street last year. But now you have to wait for them to go through their new recal list. Not that anyone with half a brain would want to work for them anyway. UAL, with a recal list longer than ours. US Airways, yeah right. DAL, I heard on another thread that they might be recalling some guys but that does'nt mean much for someone looking for a job. SWA, better know someone on the inside. UPS, same thing. Good luck.

UPS is hiring in Oregon and Alaska.
And knowing someone on the inside is very easy in this industry especially if you are a good wrench 😉

Additionally, there are industries outside of aviation which recognize the skill sets AMTs posess. You maybe required to move but the pay/benefits in the near term exceed airlines, in some cases from the start.

I do miss those flight bennies though. 🙄

Well I guess if you want to live in Oregon or Alaska there's that possiblity. Are the positions part time or full time? Also, if you move to Alaska can you handle not seeing the sun for six months?

Oregons nice. No sales tax, but oohh that property tax. 🙄
 
Back to the original topic. I wonder if they are going to replace the overhead bins with 777 style ones. Or are they just replacing the sidewall paneling. It mentions upgraded first and biz class seats does that mean new seats or just sprucing up the old ones.

Bob, attitudes like yours make me seriously question whether or not it's wise to consider spending slightly more than your pre-concession salary on travel with AA during 2007 (and that's just my individual travel budget).

Give me a break as a reader for a long time i cannot see "Bob" making or breaking any decisions you will make. You did not like him when you were a "employee" so why would you like him now that you are elsewhere? I cannot understand where you are coming from????? Help me out if you feel inclined? The company looses buisness deals you are threatening daily not a thing.

P.S. you have no buisness worrying about our defined pension plan. No matter how you try to justify it.
