What's new

20 More 757's...

While this thread has been brought to life by an unsubstantiated rumor, it's good to see that people are excited about the "possibility" that the folks at HP are willing to invest in the future of the new US.

As far as the choice of planes on a potential expansion or replacement basis goes, the B757-200 is by far the superior choice. It is the most capable aircraft for the current and future US mission, and if Tempe is in aircraft acquisition mode, they would be smart to buy up as many used 757-2's as they can get their hands on.

Where is Barbell? Barbell was right on with the new European cities and 3 757's. Was he/she censored by Tempe?

I have been told most of East 75 sim instructors are going to be type rating dudes--also looking at upgrading all East 75's to Pegesus FMC.

ABEX (now DHL) had 22 RR 752's as of last year.

UPS has a mix of both: 31PW , 40 RR.

I don't see either giving up on the fleet type, but maybe DHL, having only 22, might be looking to drop a fleet type to simplify.

Rumor flying around also is BA has serial numbers of 75-200 close to ours----not sure if they are high GTOW but they are RR powered.

And that door on the other side is great for quick turns

Who needs seats. Put a net over the passengers so they don't need seat belts

Ahh memories when I use to do ATOC and airport operations w/the US Air Force. Hmm webbed seating is good... 🙂 It adds that X-Factor situation to the flight... may be able to get people to pay extra 🙂

US and both HP have RR powered 757s.

🙄 Rumour on the streets about additional recalls for Jul/Aug bid including some to US west
