See, this is your MO now that you are in the political arena. Common sense tells you that your union meeting once a month has updates. So why the evert other month comment. You are separating yourself.Tim Nelson said:thanks for the update. Like clockwork, every other month.
I just spoke with him again (Very nice guy BTW) and he said they were told by management that they would be adding 18 more people because of the extra work?WeAAsles said:I've spoken to the USAIR guy working the maxi in the bagroom and they have been advised of the added flights THEY are going to be working. End of story.
Huh? Dont blame me for the nmb's clockwork. We have seen this pattern for a year. Im sure our leaders will once again scream "we gonna go on strike" again as well. I want solutions not rhetoric, ultimatums and demands weighing down progress.mike33 said:See, this is your MO now that you are in the political arena. Let me repeat; when in "mediated talks" the NMB determines the dates both parties will meet. This process will not be changed by any one candidate or opposition team. The process is slow and frustrating at times but it is the process both parties must comply with when negotiations are being overseen by the NMB. The NC, to this point, has remained true to the memberships' expectations in contract negotiations. In the meantime... it would be in the best interest of the membership to remain patient with the process the NC is must deal with. Additionally, it would be in the best interest of the membership, to remain supportive of the NC as we go through this trying process. Patience and Support is what is needed at this time.charlie Brown said:Just to remind everyone when talks are under mediation. The NMB decides when or even if we get called back. The negotiating team has nothing to do with setting these dates. The availability or delay, whatever anyone wants to call it, is usually if not always because of the availability of the NMB. It's not like they will leave every day of the month open just to dedicate it to one negotiations session. This is the real reason for the dates of the call back. We have always made it clear as a negotiating team, we are ready to go whenever we can.
What's a Maxi?WeAAsles said:I've spoken to the USAIR guy working the maxi in the bagroom and they have been advised of the added flights THEY are going to be working. End of story.
Yesterday, members of our local, from US Maintenance and Related, US Fleet, and Alaska Counter, began distributing literature to US Airways/American passengers at the two Terminal 4 security checkpoints, to better inform the public about the stalled contract talks at US Airways. The response from the customers was overwhelmingly positive, and the response from the company was...ahem...predictable, in that the police were called to put an end to the action. Needless to say, upon examination of our permits, the police wished our agents every success, and we continued unabated.
It is important the flying public understands what we're asking of the company, as it is their support that will, hopefully, see and end to our prolonged negotiations.
I would ask anyone who wishes to help in the distribution of the leaflets to US Air customers to please coordinate (name and number deleted by me) Members from any airline or location are most welcome to participate, and please remember, even 20 minutes with the customers makes a difference.
The belt the bags go around when they come into the bagroom.Kev3188 said:What's a Maxi?
Like you put politics aside with RD? And who said I would get in the way? I just said you will not be welcome here and get zero assistance in anything you do here. If I have to I'll call another AGC to resolve any disputes/grievances I have, and I will make my displeasure know to whoever I can that you are not the guy for my station to get you reassigned, period. You cause more harm than good, and heaven forbid someone has an opposing opinion that contradicts your own.Tim Nelson said:while it is unfortunate that you would not choose to be a part of resolving grievances at your station if im your agc, i can assure you that unlike you, i will put politics aside and make sure my people have their grievances resolved. You, my brother, will not get in the way of the processing of grievances.
