Hey POT, your calling the KETTLE black??????. You are retired, you now are an outsider, you have nothing in this. HA HA HAroabilly said:Not to speak of the fact he has absolutely NOTHING to do with Fleet Service, or the IAM...
He is a complete outsider, that deserves no attention, no response, and especially... NO answers!
Very strange that (ahem)... an "outsider" comes to Nelson's defense every single time Nelson is challenged...
I'm not buying it!
RIGHT AFTER THE STEAK AND LOBSTERFES IN FLL! I attended the conference before, I kinda know.P. REZ said:Negotiations update

They can vote on officers, They can't vote on the contract and they won't come under it. Remember, if the TA was going to be well received, it would have come out already for political reasons. They held back because they could get eaten alive if the membership knew about a AMR wage installment that delays making even the putrid wage AMR makes, and increased flight activity lessoning scope, in return for a no-layoff clause for all those who get contracted out.rockit2 said:You can't vote, your retired.

If that is in fact the status of the proposals on the table there is still more fighting to be done. If that is in fact the status it was wise they didn't even bring that back. I would like to believe a TA under those terms would be soundly rejected by the membership and the leadership's credibility coming into the elections would have suffered. Once the elections in June are over I would hope the members' expectations of what they need in a TA does not change. Regardless of who has been elected. A TA at US, that has any resemblance of the UA contract, should be overwhelmingly rejected by the members. Of course this is all speculation. No one knows for certain what the status of negotiations are except those behind the closed doors at this point.Tim Nelson said:They can vote on officers, They can't vote on the contract and they won't come under it. if these things are in it, it would get killed in a voteTim Nelson said:They can vote on officers, They can't vote on the contract and they won't come under it. It's exactly how. The only thing that doesn't exist is a impasse, release, or strike as 700, Charlie Brown, and Prez blew up everyone. Who told everyone the truth that the release talk will come to a close as we approach June? Yep, only me. The incumbents will say anything to keep their spot.737823 said:
What Tim is saying sounds a lot like how things played out at UAL.
