All ears...Phoenix said:Ferggie doesn't tell you everything, but surely you could have at least heard the rumors about base bids, no?

Our fight with the East pilots has always been about something larger and more important: INTEGRITY.

If the west had a single ounce of integrity, then they would not be trying to take advantage of anyone that was down on his or her luck.snapthis said:It's NOT ALL ABOUT SENIORITY... And, it never has been!
West pilots have been alone in our fight against USAPA for many years, and the most prominent basis for our dispute with them has been over seniority. Some would like to believe that seniority is the only topic on which we disagree, but that would not be entirely accurate. Our fight with the East pilots has always been about something larger and more important: INTEGRITY.
From integrity flows the rule of law, and from the rule of law flows the protection of minority rights. The very foundation on which these are built is the integrity of other individuals on whom we rely when striking any deal. In the Western world, we are mostly able to solve our disputes without bloodshed due to mutual respect and the reliability and honesty of the other party. Most Americans innately understand that being part of a majority does give anyone the right to trample a minority. Furthermore, most Americans understand that might alone does not make right. Sometimes we even agree to allow someone else to settle these disputes through arbitration, and agree in advance to honor the outcome. But, not the USAPA founders nor the East leadership who embraced the concept of forming a new union for the express purpose of subjugating the minority within.
Until recently, when it became clear that East pilots would no longer have control of their own fate and would lose command of their oppressive organization, these truths rarely entered their minds. Now there is little doubt these same leaders struggle to sleep, racked with anxiety for the future. This proverb is true: You reap what you sow. Everyone now sees how Karma will not be kind to these oppressors as they plead for relevancy in the face of the overwhelming numbers of the APA and a management which views them with disdain. Not with a healthy fear or respect earned by a worthy adversary, but with the disdain and contempt normally reserved the likes of Bernie Madoff. Now East pilots hope that a new majority will treat them differently than they have the West. They now pray the APA has the integrity they do not.
USAPA's leadership has tried again and again to persecute, intimidate and even prosecute West pilots in an effort to break and fracture us. USAPA has demonized our simple efforts to defend our seniority position as guaranteed by an agreed upon arbitration. They have managed to misinform their supporters and have sewn deceitful propaganda all along the way. Yet, with a contract offer on the table since before its creation, USAPA's date of hire "paper chase" has cost ALL US Airways Pilot's hundreds of millions of dollars. It has also deprived us of priceless contract and lifestyle improvements as well. All they have to show for their efforts are over $10 million in legal fees and the exact Pyrrhic victory we have warned repeatedly that they did not really want to win. But, as USAPA founder Bradford testified in his most recent deposition, it was all worth it. Worth what, Bradford? With every advantage and the unfettered ability to levy taxation without representation, they have failed COMPLETELY and MISERABLY. Nonetheless, Phoenix has stood STRONG and UNIFIED throughout this ordeal.
It now appears evident that this dark chapter in organized labor history is drawing to a close. We now look forward with guarded optimism to a bargaining agent the will fairly represent all of its pilots, but also stand ready to ensure that it does. The demise of USAPA is likely inevitable, but our business there is not yet finished. As we close this chapter, we expect to witness sheer desperation from USAPA's East leadership as they continue to try and cheat former AWA pilots. To help defend against this, we ask that West pilots demonstrate their solidarity and VOTE!
In conclusion, our fight is really for justice and the protection of minorities. That has cost us all time, money, and tremendous effort which most agree has been worth it. Newly in that minority, East pilots will someday benefit from our struggle to successfully defend ourselves and demand nothing short of truly fair representation from the APA as well. We will continue the fight for the Nicolau list because it is simply the most visible symbol of that fair representation; it is not the only component thereof. East pilots will soon look West for guidance and protection as they realize just how wrong-headed and incompetent they have been. Whomever you choose will have the privilege to hold the line and carry this banner during USAPA's final days because INTEGRITY still matters!
We six nominees ask that every Phoenix-based pilot take the time to vote in this final USAPA election. Don't worry about your standing as a member because the Ballot Certification Committee will strike ineligible ballots after voting concludes. When in doubt, vote anyway, and call your friends to confirm they have voted also. Time is running out as the polls close at 1400 ET on February 6, 2014.

Umm...I can't speak for any leaders supposedly struggling to sleep and racked with anxiety myself, but..."you'se" ARE just kidding there...Right? 🙂
Am I the only person on here that finds it pretty funny that a pilot group that scabbed against another group in another country would EVER try to lecture anyone about integrity?snapthis said:It's NOT ALL ABOUT SENIORITY... And, it never has been!
