Let me guess... he was wearing a Liberty Necktie, or he has seen the light and wishes he applied to USAirways a few years ago.  
 
It really is a shame that ALPA outsourced a disaster and was unwilling to take responsibility to fix it.  I soooo miss my ALPA pin.

Yes, tons of donations, for nearly a decade now.  People have probably foregone a new family car, postponed a newer house (or downsized), lost out on family vacations that will never happen...  
 
Judge Wake gave them false hope.   AOL took a stand on an implicit assumption.  The 9th told them the truth.  Then Judge Silver pumped a bunch of sunshine, twice.
 
In times past the West pilots had a hope of getting damages to profit them for all their sacrifices.... but you never hear about damages anymore... they just want someone to let them use their merger committee (please? pretty please?).
