The only thing lacking within the Fantasyland "army" is any even slight semblance of actual "spartans", it seems. No matter. Why worry, right? CLT Domicile Update: APA Brake Release Agreement
Dear Fellow CLT Pilots,
Effective on the POR date (December 9, 2013) all legacy US Airways pilots are to receive the same compensation (pay issues) as the legacy American Airlines pilots.
Not surprisingly, the “New Corporate Culture” management is still utilizing the “Same Corporate Culture” mentality that has caused anger, resentment, and a myriad of problems on this property for years.
In short, if you have an aircraft, complete crew, and are “ready for departure,” but cannot depart because of an ATC delay, airport congestion or Deicing delay (away from the gate), you are to be paid from the original scheduled time of departure, or when you have a complete crew and aircraft. Further, when the captain elects to delay starting engines due to quoted ATC take off delays, flight time will, at the option of the captain, be considered to begin at the time the aircraft would normally have departed.
The American pilots have codes to enter in their ACARS indicating the “RFD time” so that pay & credit is automatically applied, the US Airways aircraft currently do not have this capability programmed. Until such time the Company deems it necessary to provide this function, we recommend you accomplish the following to get paid.
Type a message to the controlling dispatcher “Ready for Departure time” 00+00. This would be your scheduled pairing time if you had crew and aircraft ready.
Make a copy of the ACARS screen BEFORE you send it.
Request that your dispatcher acknowledge and reply to your RFD message.
Keep a copy of the ATC delay or make a note of Flight # date, time, pairing number, etc.
File a PE-80 for the entire crew (Flight Attendants at American get paid)
Save printed copies of everything.
As you know, a grievance (MTA #1) was filed in December 2013, over this and several other pay issues. Expect your claim to be denied initially, but save the documentation, as USAPA will be seeking reimbursement for claims as of December 9, 2013.
Here is a link to the APA 2012 Basic Working Agreement (contract). Shown below is the applicable text from Supplement J for your review.

ok, i tried to engage conversation about where I believe these SLI are going to go....lewt me try again.
assuming nmb rules APA single carrier status prior to feb 9th, who will be the nmb recognized union for all pilots empoloyeed by AAL.?
and what is APA internal mergerpolicy for merging with another carrier also represented by APA?
answers to those questions would help a lot as to sprculating about what gets dfone in an intergration of american pilots with other american pilots....
( i believe the green book calls for DOH..but im speculating AT BEST.......
